The Queen of 21st century pop (at least in my opinion) is back:
-
Indeed. 😉

I might buy this and play it with a pick through a signal chain including a selection of disgusting distortion pedals, a cheap solid state amp and one of those plastic TC cabs.
-
I'd have kept it. Then again I've only ever sold one bass. An Aria PB500 Precise and I regret it to this day. I'm up to about ninety now. I know that folks have this 'it deserves to be played' thing going and I absolutely think that is a very cool way to deal with the issue of too many basses. However, for me, getting rid of a bass would be like selling one of the kids. Unthinkable.

Have you decided how you want to do this yet? I have some decent sized hole cutting tools if you want to visit and use them.

Nice bass that there Mustang. I've been thinking about getting one. Such good value for money.

So originally, I had two shims in (Business cards, folded in three and held together with double sided). So quite a lot of shim. That angled the neck and got the action to an acceptable level, but it meant that at the end of the fretboard (the end at the body that is), the strings were completely bottomed out when I played anything above the 14th fret iirc. So I took one of the two shims out. That made the action higher and the issue with the strings bottoming out is still there, although maybe not quite as bad, but the bass is still effectively unplayable...

Bought an EHX Freeze off Ben. Great guy to deal with, excellent comms and pedal exactly as described and very well packed. Dead chuffed with it!

Game on! Looking forward to seeing more of these nifty little cabs coming to life.

I’m going digital, so this is now just sitting there doing nothing. The TC Electronic bass amp is brand new, bought in December 2024 and never been out of the house. The Warwick WCA1x15 cabinet is in amazing condition and never been taken out of the house. The TC Electronic BC210 cabinet was bought from a well known bass player because I needed one at the time. This cab has been used and shows signs of wear, but it works wonderfully. The whole rig is a peach and perfect for any bass players needs. Collection from Cowbridge please. Bring your bass and come and try it. ✨

I got one on the last day of 2018 and then in 2019 i left it in India. At that point i didnt really have a band in here and i played it through a gear4music 15w malarky they called a bass amp. It was there till early 2025 when i took it back to the UK. I play thrash metal and it sounds monstrous. Its meaner than my Modified Vintage VJ74 with EMG actives and the output is more. A great bass and considering these are hard to find under 300 quid makes it even sweeter

I do I've got a Mike Lull PJ 30" loaded with flats. It's my go to gigging bass and my 2 other Lulls sit at home unplayed, but not unloved

I was going to get Jura and analog dreams, but I was put off as when i went to get analog dreams there was a 'sign up to NIs marketing list and get $25 off' so I did, then went to check out and got a 'you can't use it for that' I had MPC stems before, and found it very useful, so interesting to see you didn't get on with it. I will get round to getting jura before it goes back up - £34 is pretty good as I couldn't get together the money to get a real one in 1982!

48 tooth fine cut - https://www.screwfix.com/p/trend-wood-chipboard-mdf-circular-saw-blade-184mm-x-16mm-48t/826af We had a few hours of dryness. I'm sure it'll be back to wet soon.

The point of the PiPedal is to work as an effects pedal. I'm not sure whether there's a way to intercept the digital output of the PiPedal, I haven't been into that yet.

Roger Waters never had the nerve to make the Final Cut. Shame, he's missed out on great little cab.

My EUB / Guitar set up as of last week, a friend made me a silly offer on the MOOD so there's an empty space at moment, been thinking reverb maybe (after Echobox). Starts at the MINI on the top right and works left, then Onward to Meris X (bottom right). Some pedlas may look a bit wonky, only 3 have velcro at the moment. Its desk top use rather than floor, makes editting easier on the fly. Sounds f***ing awesome!

Brilliant, that looks great. It makes me feel a lot happier about me doing it. Was the blade a coarse one (e.g. 20 tooth) or a find toothed one (circa 80 tooth) or something in the middle. Also why isn't it raining where you are? Not fair. Rob

Hold fire before taking material off the heel - unless I've misunderstood what you mean by the heel! Something doesn't sound right. If you take the neck off and remove the shim that you've added and then bolt the neck back on, does it return to the excessive action height as before?
-
As far as I know it’s similarish to the Aphex Aural Exciter and Big Bottom pedal. I also think it sounds a bit like the Creation Audio Funkulator, at least how I had it set. Gives a nicer bottom end, with added highs, I have the high set lower amount as it gives a whine when it’s set too high, maybe a combo of a fault or having 2 comps lol!

I have a few basses here, but for the last 6-months my go to bass has been a slab body 51 RI. It's hard to pinpoint the reason, I love the neck for sure, it's a baseball bat in every respect, and my bandmates appear to like it to the point that when I pulled out a late 70's Precision for a rehearsal the singer actually complained about the tone, and he never complains about anything. There is something in that slab body/SC/baseball bat space that really does work, certainly in my experience.
