  2. I think The Fearless Flyers use the MBrace Stage Guitar stand. Either one is a great idea for anyone with back or shoulder problems.
  3. Only going to get worse with AI. Even in it's current imperfect state there are people creating fake images of real events and tragedies purely to farm engagement on social media. If the tech keeps inproving at it's current rate it won't be long before anyone with access to a smartphone can instruct AI to create entirely convincing video imagery of anything they want and claim that it's a real event.
  4. But your amp/rig is tone shaping.
  5. We play that number too. I wonder if Led Zeppelin ever covered it?
  6. Both cabs for £500? 👀
  7. Fantastic build as usual @Basvarken. I love the led light under the hood! ❤️
  8. Note each cab is 13kg 🤓

  10. What a bass here.... looks amaizing,I bet sounds fantastic. 🤩
  11. Agreed. I don't know how much of it is the 30+ year old ash/maple, or how different the OBP-2 and Aguilar pickup is (I know they modeled it tonally on a late 70's model), but my 2eq 9v is probably the best Stingray I've ever heard.
  12. If it's good enough for Joe Dart...."Look Ma, no strap!" 😉
  13. Do you go full Ash?!?!
  14. Apologies, but I gave it away on Friday to a bloke in Chester. Now these things are two a penny where I work. Let me check to see if there are any more lying around. They are classed as accessories and so aren't actually tracked even if they cost £250 (which the big version does cost). Rob
  15. I've never really understood, nor 'bought into', this idea of 'tone shaping'. I plug the bass into an amp/DI/console/whatever and play bass. Too simple..? Probably, with the disclaimer that I'm a drummer. (And 'No, I don't 'tone shape' drums, either. I just play them. Tone is in the fingers.')
  16. Thanks for the great responses folks I really appreciate it and I've been looking into zoom B3 and really do like that option. My one Q is now to in ear monitors so I can hear myself clearly. What's the best option for in ears?
  17. I run a Clarett +8 octopre ADAT expander to my main interface (Apollo 8xp - not the current model). The stock preamps on the Clarett+ are really impressive and easily on par with the UAD stock preamps. The UAD preamps only become superior when you use the Unison DSP preamps, however with good mic placement I don't consider the Unison preamps to be the be all end all (especially when most of the popular UAD preamps are going native). Prior to the Apollo I had a second generation Scarlett, which was perfectly fine, but I did think that the Clarett + was a good step up. The new model Scarletts are exceptional for the price though. The only thing I don't like about the 8 input Clarett interfaces is that phantom power is done in banks of 4 rather than per channel. Normally this isn't a problem but if I only had a Clarett 8pre to record drums and had 6 dynamic close mics and two condenser overheads then I am kinda screwed unless I get additional channels via ADAT. I think that the 8 channel Scarlett would be a better bet as I believe that it has independent phantom power per input. The Clarett stuff definitely gets a big thumbs up from me.
  18. Interesting. I have always maintained that the 2EQ 9v circuit is magical. It's not like any other preamp...
  19. "Hvide Mænd Spiller Afrobeat" (White Men Play Afrobeat) by the Danish band "Smag På Dig Selv" (Taste Yourself)
  20. Similar journey for me with multiple FIs! I would like to give the v4 a proper go, though, as Peter's latest upgrades taking some ideas from the MXR, in return, do sound good! Particularly if I can get hold of one of the mini version used. The FI is Mohini Dey's fav synth pedal! (Btw some of us are very grateful for your continued stocking of the BC effects for sale - still loving my GT1000 Core, it's been an excellent upgrade after several years of Zoom B1-4!)
  21. my favourite tone shaping DI currently is the Origin Effects Blackface 64. One of these, a tuner and a Cali76 and i could gig with that
  22. Mike, pm your payment details please. Not 100% sure I can make it but hoping to be there.
  23. The drummer on the original recording was Tony Allen. Anyway, the question has come up before, with...
  24. Fake this fake that is eveywhere. Its now the sport of choice for w*nkers with too much time on their grubby digits
  25. No problem, you can just pay on the door. Really hope you can make it.
