BODY & NECK The body is swamp ash and modelled on our Custom Shop Afterburner. It’s compact and lightweight, making for a bass that’s comfortable to wear and beautifully balanced. Buy with confidence!” BASS GUITAR MAGAZINE PICKUPS & ELECTRONICS The Combustion comes fitted with Dingwall FD3n pickups that are made to our exacting specifications using neodymium magnets, which offer both high output and a smooth, but aggressive tone. They’re wired to a 3-band preamp, along with a 4-position Quad-tone pickup selector, master volume and an active/passive toggle switch. “The Quad-Tone pickup selector gave me quick access to several distinct flavors. In passive mode, the soloed neck and bridge pickups were old-school and vintage, the bridge /middle pickup combo was fat and focused, and the bridge/neck sound was loud and growly. Changing right-hand position gave me lots of variations on those themes, but switching on the preamp brought each pickup to life and showed me several new colors.” BASS MAGAZINE HARDWARE The Dingwall bridge started with an available bridge/saddle system that met our requirements for solid performance and great tone. We then improved on it by designing a custom riser system to provide an increased range of flexibility when it comes to adjusting the action. The headstock is home to the lightest import tuners we could find. We collaborated with Hipshot to modify their Ultra-lite tuners, which resulted in a shorter tuning peg that allows a proper downward angle at the nut for maximum sustain and improved stability. Have some unused valves knocking around that aren't going to get used. They were purchased a while back as spares for the Fender Tweed Deluxe kit I built. I have tested them this morning in my amp and all are working fine with no noises of any kind. The EHX preamp valves are 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AY7 - one has the original box the other one doesn't for some reason, but both are unused and have been sat in my drawer. The 12AX7 is now sold Looking for £12 posted for the 12AY7 please. The rectifier valves are 2 x NOS Brimar 5Y3GT and 1 x NOS Pinnacle 5Z4GT - The Pinnacle can be used as drop in replacements for a 5Y3GT. I bought all of these as New Old Stock and they come with the original boxes but do have signs of wear on the cardboard. The Brimar valves have a corrugated cardboard and tissue paper protective cover that come with age appropriate smell 😂 Looking for £15 each posted please. As new still sealed in packs, 3 sets available £12.90 per set including postage. I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears these seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

Agreed! no updates, and no trade offers at the moment sadly but I’ve had lots of messages on FB and eBay asking me to split it up and sell various bits…. I could but… Maybe I’ll just keep it!
