I think the clue is in the title, Speaker Placement Basics. He doesn't go into a lot of things but has stuck to the sort of set up most beginners will be working with if anything I doubt many bands have this much equipment to play with. Wall placement isn't a panacea and wall reinforcement is unnecessary if your subs are adequate. Placing them to one side means you can't match the level of the sub to both of the tops. Subs may be omnidirectional but the sound level still falls with distance so the bass will potentially be too loud on the side nearest the tops and not loud enough on the side further away. In any case most people viewing this for the first time probably won't have access to subs or centre fills. Steve's question is about directional speakers and where to point them and the heat maps are a really useful way of looking at this.

That grippiness makes them an outstanding solution for neck dive. They also make the heaviest bass light on your shoulders. I have one on both my heaviest fivers.

@Terry M. Seeing this as a production model would be lovely 😄 and as previously mentioned a run of BB3000 models. Possibly a few more finishes on the current BB line. Would it improve sales? No idea but I guess that's a gamble all Manufacturers take?

Blend in a ring nodulator and have the guitarists kneel before your filth proclaiming their lack of worth.

I was about to suggest this. Bicarb is slightly alkaline and breaks down the oils and greases that make most of the smells.

The badge on my 2x10" is riveted on but there are no holes on the 15". But then in that ebay listing the badge looks stuck on. Hmm... An unexpected bonus is the valve pre-amp. I wasn't expecting that and haven't had any kind of valve amp before 😊

If you use thumb plucking down and index finger plucking up alternately to do the octave pairs it's not too hard to keep up.

Yes an Ibanez 5 string (SBX) it had a fingerboard so wide that you’d need a native guide to get from G to low B and it sounded completely soulless I have large hands but only medium stretch and it was far too uncomfortable to play

I have two longer than that that have been up for years. And my walls are made of that grey compressed powder they used after the war because presumably they had thrown all the bricks at the enemy.

I've gigged with 2 One10's in a loud top 40's cover band using a 5 string bass and these cabs handled the gig perfectly. I also successfully gigged a Two10 and One10 in a loud blues rock band. I see no reason why the 310 wouldn't come through with flying colours.

Yep. Fender USA ‘75 Jazz. Took it out of the box plugged it in and was hugely disappointed. Bad fit and finish and the E string had no oomph sent it back the same day. Instant loathing.

I guess many badges were rattled loose by the monster tones and left lying on a stage floor somewhere, probably out of reach of the now crippled owner who'd had to get the cab out of the venue into the van.
