Well the Nazis appropriating the Swastika and turning something beautiful into something ugly and deprived kind of makes any usage of it (transposed or otherwise) in very poor taste. When certain objects have been imbued with meaning and could cause offence then I would suggest no don’t do it. However if you like the style and feel of a sari or have a passion for country music I don’t see why anyone whether they are born and raised in Delhi or Texas should be shamed for wearing a sari or a stetson, or both no matter what gender they identify as.

Ironically, mine doesn't have a battery box and it's a 98. The battery is inside the cavity.

Does your bass have this brass nut? Unless you buy specific BEAD strings, you can just buy 5 string set and bin the G... probably cheaper that way.

Have you tried putting a 4mm in there? There's an initial round hollow bit (which a 5mm would go into) followed by the 4mm bit (which a 5mm wouldn't). Everybody in the civilised world uses 4mm. Hohner use 4mm on the B2.

Lots of interesting viewpoints! Let's leave the 'woke / reform' stuff out of it if possible, it's not a political conversation, it's more about whether the meaning of things matters. If you want to expand this beyond music: Can we detach meaning from something we like the aesthetics of? You could ask, as a white British man, is it political correctness gone mad if I can't wear a t-shirt with a giant swastika on it just because it's a pretty shape and red and black looks good on me? Or, can I go to Millwall and wear a claret / sky blue t-shirt without getting my face punched in? Should I understand what those shapes and colours mean before wearing them? Does a piece of music symbolise and stand for something, or is it just a series of sounds that happen to make us feel good?

Ive just installed a set of Artec mvba4 pickups into my Gretsch G2220 bass, they're are a perfect drop in replacement, unfortunately the pole alignment is quite off and a bit of an OCD nightmare, is this within an acceptable range not to effect the tone and volume of each string? as ive no way to compare what these pickups sound like on a bass perfectly aligned with the strings. I hope what im trying to say makes some kind of sense

I would say it will just about cope but may sound a little less clean !! My V4B 100w worked well in a loud rock band using a 2x12 and it stayed clean if I wanted it If your drummer isn’t too heavy handed it would be fine I think

I don’t know about loud enough Rob as no experience with that amp, but I reckon that whole set up would sound amazing.

I’m hoping he’ll be along to confirm, either way nice to see a small amp that doesn’t look the same as all the other small amps…
