There is no such thing as short scale wiring, as a pickup is a pickup... By the way, did you remove the blue heat shrink tubing to discover that there are 4 wires (+ ground) and that the wiring diagram above shows you how to wire a push-pull to have the pickup in split (single coil) and series modes, which is roughly what you want? You could also have the push-pull wired for series/parallel modes, which is not complicated at all if you know what you're doing.

Yeah. I can't get at all of them but the B string does have a B on It. Oddly enough I'd never noticed that until you mentioned it here.

Should really go into "acrimonious band break-ups".
-
@tauzero I’m wanting to remove the push/pull, it makes such a small difference to the tone, and I’m looking for a traditional wiring for a short scale

And their heads nailed to the floor. Seriously do something to really screw things up for them. Like walking out on a gig five minutes before kick-off
-
@Hellzero my wiring has the black going to hot which doesn’t match the diagram above. I’ve messaged Sandberg to see what they come back with. I know the pickup on the Florence is referred to as a ‘mudbucker’ which might explain the alternative wiring.

Ibanez SR700 up for grabs. This bass is in amazing condition and has undergone a recent clean and setup including a new set of D'Adarrio strings. It plays beautifully and sounds great. These basses offer incredible value for money! "The SR700 features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a jatoba and bubinga SR4 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone ovals position markers. Components include a pair of Bartolini MK-1 pickups, an Accu-cast B20 fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, die-cast machine heads. Controls consist of a single volume, balancer, and Bartolini MK1 3-band EQ with treble, bass, and mid boost/cut"

Good on you! It sounds like a horrible, toxic and abusive situation. They don't deserve any further consideration from you. You owe them nothing. Leave with your head held high.

I'm only bumping this thread to change the avatar from the dancing duck to something static. Sorry Funkgod. I think your duck needs a rest and a long bath. Poor critter. It must be looking forward to soaking its feet and getting rid of duck smegma from all its little nooks and crannies.. Oh! ...and no offence intended but - (Heeheehee)

I guess they didn’t get the memo about proper spinal-tap behaviour being changing drummers like they change underwear and went for bass players instead 🤷♂️

This morning I thought I ought to make a start on the Parasit Studios Into The Unknown kit I bought a few weeks ago from MusikDing. It might be a bit ambitious for my first electronics job in decades, but I thought I should try and I wanted a 4046 PLL pedal. Six hours later and the board is fully built and fitted to the case.. Which took some doing, what with eight pots, three switches and two LEDs. What's left is to hook up the connectors and footswitch, then hope I don't have a bad solder joint somewhere in there ..!

Tried the PiPedal on a Pi 5 with a Hifiberry DAC+ but it didn't want to know - not sure why, as I did the correct config amendments and it shows up in aplay. However, from the discussion forum it looks like USB interfaces are the recommended way forward, so I've decided not to waste any more of my life on that - it'll get put to other purposes. I've got a Presonus Studio 24c incoming to play with so I don't have to start unwiring the other USB interfaces I have littering the house. More news next week sometime.

Zenmarket - Anyone used it to purchase from Japan (Digimart etc)?
Sean replied to cetera's topic in General Discussion
We have a preferred contact for helping with purchases from Digimart. I'll happily pass on the details. I've done it twice this year. -
