People who buy a house, then put an extension up, or convert the loft, within six months of moving in. If they did it within a month, then it was clearly part of the plan when they purchased the place. If they did it within six years, then the family grew, and needs more space after they purchased the place. But six months just feels wrong.

Mokl started following String changing mystery on Ibanez EHB

It is weird! I was going to say that with round core especially, make sure you've got a nice strong bend in the string before cutting so the core can't 'slip', but it's odd that the others were ok, suggesting you'd likely done that. Don't want to teach you to suck eggs etc

Why would you have turnip with spuds?!? Honestly, to me, that just sounds mingin'. Mark

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

I mentioned this on my list posted a while back. I have a Fender Jazz that came with one and I bought it KNOWING the stock white pickguard wasn't going to last long on it. I just can't stand them 🤭 -
It is not unknown for police to work up a 'Representative Sample" of cases for a longtime perp to plead guilty on, public knowledge as we have seen. I don't know if that then includes the entire case file of open cases getting presented to the judge or it is coded language that everyone understands, used to save court and police resources. I believe there is the expectation that there is enough in the representative sample to get a good jail term by themselves. Perp expects a little leniency for having plead guilty but alternative is going down for the lot so not much discount.

kiat started following Pedalboard audio routing : patch panel?
-
With a limited number of pedals and devices (to use in my signal paths) Pre, Post, Amp, DI, BT, IEM (band feed, bass), transmitter headphones, etc, rather than having to move and jig devices and their connections around into different configurations based on the use case: practice at home, band rehearsals, videoing, gigging, I'm thinking about audio routing with 1/4" patch panels (or other compact mono or stereo patch cables). I'm thinking it might be worth the effort and sacrifice. Has anyone tried this before and if so what worked/didn't etc?

I'm another potential, no inconvenient gigs at the moment. -
I worked out that I am currently working on around 65 songs for upcoming gigs, some on bass, some on guitar. Despite that I managed to fit in some build time this evening and wired up the Bass channel:
