Chienmortbb started following Speakon chasis poor connection

This quote intrigues me, and I would hope that @agedhorse would comment. Neutrik did change the designs and specs for speakons within the last two years. The regs changed, and they took the opportunity to redesign the range cosmetically. I have experienced no issues and have heard of none with compatibility between the different ranges. In saying that, I don't think that I have come across the new chassis connectors.

Trouble is with elderly parents, the child has to grow up and take over the responsibilities, as the parents regress into a childlike state…. both mine did anyway, maybe it isn’t the same for everyone. Also my brother didn’t cope well with it all. So I definitely felt like I had to toughen up and support everyone, even though I was the youngest. Similar with my mate in many ways, I definitely became his big brother as best as I could. You’re right though, you still have to think about your own state of mind, and talk to loved ones about the whole thing, something I’m crap at. I definitely hold it all in.

Ooft, that's a chonky switch. Must confess I didn't check the dimensions - it was that much of a pain in the arris to find one which wasn't momentary that I jumped on the first latching one I found. Hope it fits!

Connecting my Midi piano to Cubase on my PC
Hellzero replied to bass_dinger's topic in Other Instruments
You'll have to use the USB B (To Computer) to use the MIDI, the other port (USB A) being for "flash" memory like any key available. I answered you. Santa. 😂 -

Hmmm, I'm the worlds worst at sharing my feelings, although I'm finally learning with age not to just suck it up, but occasionally unload and express how I'm feeling/my various frustrations/concerns/worries etc. Just my thoughts, we all cope differently. Hope you have a great Christmas break 🙂

Gator Pro Go G-PG Bass x 2 gig bag for 2 electric basses for sale in excellent condition. I’m no longer gigging regularly on bass so this is surplus to requirements. Hasn’t actually been used that much so is in generally excellent condition. The only thing I’d note which might be a fault or might just be a manufacturing feature is that the foam in the handle appears to be split into two parts, which you can feel through the outer fabric of the handle. However I also have the single version of this bag which is exactly the same, so I’m guessing this is just how they’re made. I don’t have a box big enough to ship this so it’s collection only, although I could deliver locally in Cardiff. I also commute to Swansea Vale twice a week most weeks so could deliver anywhere within 10 minutes of one of the M4 junctions between J32 and J45.

thebrig started following Norwich and Norfolk Music Scene - Advice Please.
-
We're moving to Wymondham (10 miles from Norwich) in the new year, and I'm wondering what the local music scene is like. I'm now 74 and would like to find a band that play in pubs and clubs in the area. Any local knowledge and advice would be very much appreciated. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to one and all!

Mint condition Boss GKC-DA interface for controlling and playing Boss 13pin units VG99, GK33, GP-10 etc using the newer GK-5 pickup. i.e. SERIAL to 13PIN I'd already sold my GP-10 by the time it arrived, so it's never been used. Lived in it's box, in a cupboard, in a smoke free home. Still boxed with PSU. Willing to post. Any questions, please ask. This may be also be advertised elsewhere.
-
Having replaced this very lightly used (never left our smoke free home) Roland Vdrum kickpad with the the extortionate KDQ-8, this is no longer required. So it's up for grabs. If required, I could post it if we work out a price. It's in excellent condition and working perfectly, and I'll clean the dust off too (only just noticed !) Any questions, let me know.

Stripping and staining walnut body - advice please
Grooverjr replied to Grooverjr's topic in General Discussion
Points taken on the need for chemical assistance and the corrollary of professional assistance. Unfortunately attention to detail and high skill levels are not hallmarks of the trades in La Paz so I am not too keen on getting a random carpenter involved. There is a furniture restorer nearby and what's in his window looks ok so if I have a spare hour or two I'll strip the body of all the gubbins and take it down to him to see what he can do. -

Stripping and staining walnut body - advice please
Grooverjr replied to Grooverjr's topic in General Discussion
If I was in the UK I would probably think twice but I now (and presumably forever) live in a place where there is no chance of me ever getting anythig like what I paid for it, or anythig over about a hundred quid, so there is no point thinking about it in those terms. -

HeadlessBassist started following Alnus Basses - Anyone got one?
-
Definitely interested in these - He seems to have nailed the classic 60s Precision sound with his in-house custom wound pickups. The fact that you can hear what a particular bass sounds like also helps. Prices are very reasonable, too.

I asked warmoth to make me a body between 6-7lbs and they sent me one at 7.5lbs. I need a bass that balances at about 45 degrees, otherwise I spend the entire gig fidgeting to try to get get it to sit at that angle. Luckily I train 3 times a week so 14lbs for a 3 hour wedding isn't too much trouble
