  1. Past hour
  2. Same for me. They moved a bass in a gig bag from down south to up north and it arrived in perfect nick. It was a few days between arranging and pick up and the price is higher than other services but I paid for peace of mind and I got it. The insurance levels are really good too.
  3. Spotlight - Jennifer Hudson
  4. Souper Trouper - ABBA
  5. Life is a Minestrone - 10CC
  6. From an ex- South Londoner
  7. There certainly is - https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/436082-recommend-your-whisky-of-choice-here/ RE: talkbass whisky thread - "Oh no, someone from the motherland who actually knows what they're talking about - I can't act like the biggest whisky bore any more because I might get called on my BS..." Fair?
  8. Welcome Graham
  9. Welcome from another Londonite…
  10. There’s a club we’ve played a couple of times in Hull, great gig but they insist on playing music at 130dB between spots and at the end of the night during pack up. We decided to knock it on the head despite request for return next year.
  11. Hi there, spend too much time on hifi forums, so thought I'd start spending too much time on a bass forum too. Long time guitarist, occasional bassist, starting to focus more on bass which brought me here. Looking forward to learning from everyone on here.
  12. Soup Of The Day - Chris Rea
  13. "And lo, when the price equals the number of the beast, the bass he shall have..." Congrats Carl, that's a great looking bass
  14. I've had my Shure GLXD16+ setup for a year now and I honestly don't know why i didn't go wireless years ago. It is so liberating - although having the drummer tell me I need to move around more now (a la Simon Gallup*) is a bit off putting..... *I can't wear a bass that low and strutting really isn't very me.
  15. Today
  16. I guess that was me 🙂 I've used them 4 times (2x bass + 2x cabs) and every time went perfectly, no hesitation to recommend them. Not fast but reliable and safe.
  17. Yes I blame my wife for the Dingwall JT purchases. She said “you must get one!” when they came out, so it would’ve been churlish of me to say no 🤣
  18. Thanks lowdown, it just came up on my YouTube while I was driving, it’s a pretty odd track I think but I quite liked the Bassline , your right about dozing off though 😁
  19. I've now converted our guitarist to the same Shure GLXD floor pedal version as myself and he's loving the freedom and not falling over cables with his platform shoes. Wouldn't be without mine now. Dave
  20. 100%, Ive been playing for 45 years. Bottom line nobody cares about bass or the bassist unless the tunes are literally a stand alone bass line, (Riders on the storm for eg or, 'A Forest' etc ) But if the singers mic goes south?... Its pistols at dawn and a court appearence for some unsuspecting sound dude....and yes Im exaggerating simply to make the point. Been to several theatre shows/gigs recently and the bass was just an indestinct mush, tells the story.
  21. We have a whisky thread on BC ? I used to follow the TB one but they get very defensive when your a Scot. I always got the feeling they thought they new more than everyone else and left it. Did get some decent guys tho that were happy to share their thoughts on Malts. Dave
  22. Peterson StroboStomp Mini £90 posted https://www.petersontuners.com/products/stroboStompMini/ Accurate, compact tuner with high-def LCD strobe display and top-mount jack sockets. N.B. In the photos, in the top-left corner of the screen: that's the protective film that I never removed starting to come off, not a scratch/mark etc. My feedback thread: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/159971-feedback-for-jrixn1/
