If both surfaces are flat and clean, 3M 467 double sided adhesive sheet should do the job, it's the stuff often used to apply pickguards to acoustic guitars. The K&K guitar systems (using similar discs inside the guitar) are usually applied using a drop of gel superglue, which is not as drastic as it sounds - provided you don't use an excess amount it can usually be popped off again by prising it with a single edged razor blade.

The speaker demos at the bash looked like a line dropping about 3dB per ocrave with a peak or three. While it was easy to see how some went down to about 70Hz and others more like 120Hz, it would have been easier to interpret if the plot was normalised to get rid of the slope. It would also have been easier to visualise their high frequency performance. The app has a and c weighting options. A weighting reduces low and high frequencies to refect how the ear percieves loudness. C weighting is similar but for very loud sounds and is a bit flatter (i.e. doesn't reduce low and high frequencies as much).

Still Water - Daniel Lanois

Looks very nice, but it has triggered one of my pettier pet hates - any product manager who specs a 4 string with the number 5 in the model name needs their ass kicked.
-
Even now it's not drastically more; £150 ish for the Faital, £25 for the tweeter,£20 worth of basic ply from Wickes. PVA glue and mains cable for wiring. Admittedly the crossover is in my GK amp but it's a cheap easy job really and my woodworking isn't great.

JPJ started following 16 channel splitter - how much! 😮
-
So, as we’re all using IEM’s and we have a gig coming up at a venue that has in-house PA and engineer, we were thinking of adding a 16-channel splitter so we could run our IEM’s from our XR18 leaving the house engineer free to do his thing with the FOH sound. But these things are bloody expensive in the UK with most we can find coming from the USA. Yes we have considered the MIDAS unit but that leaves control of the analogue gain with us, potentially getting in the way of the in-house guy. We’re now thinking of a couple of Behringer MS8000’s and a short loom to hook these to our XR18 for a full analogue split. My question, is anyone here doing the same or have a source for a reasonably priced splitter here in the UK?

For sale a lovely Aria SB1000 Batwing from 1980. Factory fretless, in good condition, a couple of small dings but nothing unsightly. All works exactly as when it left the Matsumoko factory. I've owned this bass since 1987 (I think, its a long time ago!). Sadly its time to let it go. Its fretted brother may be following. I've had enough of the band scene, I'm disillusioned with all things band based. Too many unsupported egos, too much cliquey bullshit. Grab this beautiful bass and enjoy it. I never thought this day would come

I’d be leaving more ‘haha’ reactions here, but… Apparently ‘Grand Master’ ain’t all it’s cracked up to be! -
I've got no problems with an active DI at all, I've got problems with 9v batteries going dead and the lack of phantom power at my (admittedly bottom feeder) level. My preferred solution would be a DI that ran from boss style power like other pedals. I actually built one using a prefab board, and I own the Harley Benton too, as well as the usual pedal preamps that also include an XLR output like the Sansamp.

Once you get past the XTC and Dukes regular release stuff, I would strongly suggest delving into Transistor Blast (4CD) and the Coat of Many Cupboards (4CD) collections. Andy Partridge's 'Fuzzy Warbles' collection (just the nine CDs) is great, as is his Failed Songwriting Career EPs. Andy has also done the Powers and Monstrance albums, which for the sake of completion are worth a listen, although probably not more than the once. Colin's reboot with Terry Chambers as TC&I (EP and Live album) is good. There's also some decent live recordings on the Internet Archive website (from 1978-81). Finally, there's also superb tribute album called 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' on Futureman Records.

Which Stanley Clarke album for DB?

Great album. Listen to it all the time. -
In my younger days a band's worth of guys would have bounced the car out of the way (two bounce the rear up and down and three push when the weight is off the back axle). Not that I endorse such behaviour now!
