phsycoandy started following 2003 Musicman Stingray SUB. USA
-
Well used USA made Sub with the textured finish in blue with blue scratch plate. Active 2 band EQ, all works as it should. Could do with new strings. There are no dings or damage to the body or neck, the back of the neck is beautifully smooth with natural wear to the finish, a few marks on head stock tip. Pretty much zero fret wear. Comes with super quality CNB padded gig bag. £595 UK shipping £20

Bah! Already out of stock! I shall comfort myself that I'd have preferred red.
-
I’ll look into them, thanks.
-
I have done that thanks….I’m looking for any Basschat experience as a helping hand. If a link is given I can send it to the USA.

I used K12-2’s with a previous band. Never gave us a moment’s problem. Sound was excellent but some slightly harsh upper mids. The two speakers we’re looking at would be of comparable quality. QSC make good kit but like a lot of US stuff it is not cheap over here.

thodrik started following New (to me) amp day!
-
I have owned a Fafner since 2009. It still works great and generally all EBS amps are really reliable and share a similar-ish preamp, drive and compressor design. The Fafner is an older style design compared to the HD350 and TD650, which I have always found to sound a bit more refined, but the differences are really subtle. The current 802 is essentially a Rolls Royce of an amp which I would love to try but haven't. The main design flaws of the Fafner are: - the cosmetic bulb which glows red is prone to blow, however this does not affect the operation of the amp. It is worth replacing it with an LED bulb which will last longer; - the fan is on the side, so despite being a 3U unit you need a 4U rack case to allow for ventilation; and - it is 620 watts at 2 ohms, so using at 8 ohms it is a little bit unpowered compared to its size, but still useable in a gig (I use it with a single 8 ohm 15 inch cab for rock gigs and rehearsals without a problem). My favourite features: - awesome compressor; - loads of headroom on the preamp; - really great drive control; - really flexible preamp; - the 'Bright' control offers fantastic control of high frequency articulation; and - the master control has a really useable and practical volume taper, so it does just go from silent to really loud (like my Mesa Big Block). If it is a used amp, try replacing the preamp tube (it is really easy to do so), as it might improve the sound of the drive control. Funnily enough, my back up amp for the Fafner used to be a Trace Elliot 300 SMX!

Status Chris Wolstenholme original graphite neck version. Can't remember the last time I saw one on here for sale.

There are quite a few L2000s, wouldn't call them rare at all. an M2000/2500, now they are rare I am sure all these basses are common compared to chapman sticks!

That doesn't bother me too much - I gig Gibson RD Artist basses regularly. 😂

There's a Hagstrom 8 on Bass Direct's website right now. Good luck.

Thomann have a couple of 32"/812mm scale 5-string acoustic basses, so they do exist.
-
Same here. Bass direct pre-order price is also better than Andertons. I watched an interview where Sheldon mentioned the SP1s will be lighter as the body is slimmer. Hope it's light. My heaviest bass is a Lakland 55-02 skyline which weighed around 4.9kgs. Sold it. Currently using a Yamaha BB435 which is 4.2kgs but still looking for something light.

Retirement has led me to consider parting with my studio rig. (Non-smoking studio) 280W TE GP12 SMX with 1048H (4x10 with horn) 1048 (4x10 no horn) & 1 x Liveried Flight case which fits the 1048H. Case liveried for Yolanda Charles when she was the bassist on a Robbie Williams Tour. She nicknamed the cab the "Air Conditioner" as even on its own it is truly TE Trouser Flapping. Amp has the TE cover. Cabs come with "as new" Roksolid covers, black with green "TE" piping. Cabs professionally re-covered for me since when the cabs have sat in my rehearsal studio for over 10 years. They are pristine.... I struggle to alter the pics from my MacBook to a size to use on here so please see here for lots more pics.... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/447209505086195/?locale=en_GB Have recovered from my GAS so no trades wanted thanks.........
