  11. Today
  12. Thanks.
  13. Sorry for the lack of context - I’m mainly trying to see what others are using and do a bit of research based on people’s recommendations. I’ve tried quite a few combos and so far the Eich BC112Pro has been the best for me - but I’m still not fully satisfied with anything I’ve used. I’m also not looking to go with a separate head and cabinet as I’d like to avoid carrying more individual pieces of equipment/cables around.
  14. had a cracking gig on Saturday at The Hertford Corn exchange with U2 Tribe. Great sound and a great turnout and apart from completely messing The Fly up, I had a really good gig
  15. I had the same a few times. I have one of the old Evox which is wood and flat that you can put a pint on, and one of the new, that is not flat, and you can't. So I put the wood one near me so I can tell people not to do it (and I put stuff on it(). I never bother with the other one as it is clearly not flat. But at a gig on new years some woman put a full pint on it, the slopey surface, that is vibrating like mad. Clearly it fell straight off, mostly into the guitarists pedalboard. In her defence I guess she was so drunk I am not sure how she was still upright.
  16. Great colour, great bass GLWS
  17. Wasn't sure about the protocol here - feedback on an off-grid transaction Ben bought a trip down memory lane from me - a priceless commodity that I was glad to be able to supply. We didn't chat so much about horror but probably got that done and dusted last time he visited and saw what was on my bookshelves. He's a lovely fella.
  18. I've got one in black and been playing loads recetlntly. Real quality basses. GLWTS
  19. Bleed Like Me - Garbage
  20. If it helps I've listened to the BB2 next to the BC112 several times and the BB2 next to the Silverstone at the South West Bass bash along with 30-40 other bassists on a shootout. The Barefaced just wasn't as good, the horn driver and crossover in the BC112 are more sophisticated components and it shows. This speaker will just sound cleaner and clearer than the BB2. The Silverstone has been updated from the BC112 mk3 with a different horn and some tweaks to the crossover design but uses the same drivers. I've no idea what improvements might have been made to the BB2 to make it a BB3. You might not need to save up
  21. Thanks @bigthumb, it really is a beauty and a proper professional finish, and now playing much better. If you don't mind a higher action than 2.5-3mm I really don't think you would need to do anything to it. But it deserves the love of someone. I put 3 years into this bass project and would love to see it played by a new owner.
