  1. Past hour
  2. Pig bone? Where'd you get a pig bone?
  3. Newly acquired as part of a trade, black not usually my first choice, but I rather like this. May be I should put black nylon strings on it and it would become a stealth bass.
  4. You bastard ! You ate Harold! Now I know why the music stopped … 🥺
  5. I gotta say, I never noticed any noticeable addition to the latency for more complex signal chains with the MOD Dwarf, that’s not to say it wasn’t there but certainly wasn’t apparent. Using the channel routing as an FX loop or utilising their “Portal” blocks which allowed parallel processing to lower CPU usage at the expense of latency however had a huge impact. Was pretty essential though for using the AIDA-X captures.
  6. It's never a bad thing to seal up the cab. I usually use draughtproofing foam strip to seal my connector plates and the baffles and rear panels which on my personal cabs are just screwed and not glued. Interestingly some allowance for leakage is made when calculating the cab sizes and tuning Using a factor called Ql. WinISD defaults to Ql=7 which is what I've always done anyway and by and large the measurements on the cab come out very close to those expected. You can't seal everything and the magnetic gap in the speaker itself is almost always open but sealing things where you can is good.
  7. Well, it’s not selling at these prices, and the 0% Barclaycard that paid for it doesn’t need paying until July ‘27…. So I suppose it’s rude not to keep it.
  8. This is such an underrated pedal. Love mine. Good luck with the sale.
  9. This sought after set have just been pulled from my Trace Elliot V4 although they started life as a sextet in a friend's SVT II a number of years back. The remaining four are old but still working fine and have happily done the last six months in the V4 with no bias drifting, internal lightning or blown fuses but I fancied a change so have installed some brand new Linlai KT88s. You can just about make out the SED logo and other prints in the first pic. There's a 5th valve somewhere that if I find it at the time of sale, I'll also include. SED Winged C 6550C £100 posted.
  10. <TL:DR> Can you summarise please? Thx Rob
  11. We had a mouse once but we had to eat it. Fed us all for two weeks....
  12. Thanks for reading - glad you enjoyed it. ❤️ I enjoy the CL - mine probably sees more hours at the studio than most of the other amps there as it's just so useful. 🥰 Thankfully, it doesn't really get moved around too much.. 🤣 The mobile and compact solution with the Skunk aloft the Ashdown cab - I went with the Celestion drivers in the end.. ❤️
  13. Luxury! We had to make do with a wooden platter, a mouse on a treadmill for power and a sharpened pig bone for a stylus… and we had to pay to feed the mouse …
  14. Thinning out the herd as I favour jazz basses. It's a Tom Stenback bass, not much more to say - probably the best made and most difficult to find bass guitar these days as they're no longer being built. This is a "unicorn" bass as it's only 1 of 2 "Precision" style basses ever made, originally for Scott Devine from Scott's Bass lessons. Instrument is in pristine condition; only used in the studio. Roasted Alder body Roasted Flamed Maple Neck Rosewood fingerboard Neck binding 34'' scale Drop D tuner Lundgren Pickup with 4 positions - 1) neck single coil (50s P bass); 2) bridge single coil; 3) Humbucker in parallel (like vintage Yamaha BB basses); 4) Humbucker in series (traditional P bass wiring) making it a very versatile "Precision style" bass. Price is fixed and no trades except for a 5 string Stenback jazz bass. Available in London or Spain (Madrid/Valencia). You can see a demo in here: This is my feedback link - I've sold many high end instruments in here
  15. A new never used four-string set plus a B-string, so a five-string set. These are real double bass strings that can be played with a bow - not the thin, flimsy ones that come as standard with NS instruments. These are an upgrade to a real playing feel. New price for the set plus B-string is £216/245€. My price £100/110€ plus shipping.
  16. I don't think the neck is roasted, it looks like an antique tinted varnish. Very nice though 🙂
  17. This thread has made me very happy 🙏
  18. The Thomann website states 19mm. Here’s a photo I’ve just taken if it helps. In all my 30 years of playing bass, I’ve never once thought about this particular measurement! 😆
  19. Today
  20. I miss mine….if this was a 534, I’d be very tempted! GLWTS
