  2. I don't quite follow the economic argument about prices having to go up with scale? I see Pirate's business model being more akin to Weatherspoons vs local boozers. Becoming national hasn't meant Spoons' prices increasing.
  3. These are awesome cabs, I’ve got a couple of the 8ohm versions, been using them for a good 5 years and they’ve never let me down. GLWTS
  4. Trades? Something might get my attention!

  6. We can practise for free in my guitarist's shed for free. I quite like it in there. It's cramped but cosy and has a fun vibe!
  7. I brought this a couple of months ago and have never used it. I paid £35 for it, so grab yourself a bargain at £12. Postage will be on top or you are free to collect it from near Settle. North Yorkshire. Trades welcome for something interesting. A 59 Strat would be very interesting It's a Levin leather strap. One side is brown leather and the other side is suede so it doesn't slip. It's 154cm/59" long and can be shortened using slots at the back. Its 6.5cm/2.5" (ish) wide I have no idea how to describe the adjustment any better The middle bit The end adjustable bit The back of the end adjustable bit The other end (for the hard of understanding)

  8. I think this is an underrated opinion. A lot of people go "ooooh I like that bass, I'll just put my strings on it, get it set up to my usual action, put the EMGs that I like in it... etc etc". Just stick with what you've got then. I'm kicking myself for changing my SB2 to VVT. No tone control is part of what makes that bass unique, even if it is a weird quirk.
  9. Only the A string is left now. Plus the slightly older D and G in my other listing. the D and G in this listing have now gone.
  10. 2 months of use from new on only one bass. The D string is practically perfect £45. The G string is a bit unraveled just where the trying has been wound around the tuning peg. The playing part of the string is perfect, but due to the imperfection at the top £25. Posted to the UK Thank you for looking. PS - I’ll probably post another D and G and also A in the next couple of days. they are only a month old so they will be a bit more expensive.
  11. Forgot to mention the added bonus of through body stringing.
  12. That’s a cool little bass.
  13. Thanks for the nice comments ladies and gents!
  14. Both the Dwarf and the ME-90B seem to do the same, and it is hard to shield the RF on the receiver.
  15. The musicmaster wasn't touched by most people. I remember seeing one in the shop in the late 70s, and it was basically the kids budget bass. Modifying basses was also very common back then, you just had one, you modified it how you wanted, there wasn't the fear of modding that there is now. Sure couldn't pay over a grand for a musicmaster!
  16. Brand new and never been installed, £75 delivered to UK addresses

  18. Selling this drum kit on behalf of my brother who can’t play anymore due to ill health The kit can be broken up so if you spot something that catches you eye let me know and we can work out a decent price for you
  19. All Stood Stilton — Ultravox
  20. To be clear - only opened and the E string taken out to check scale length - then put back in pack and realised I had bought the wrong set - so essentially new
  21. Thanks for the responses, so if I'm following then it's white and green to the bottom and brown and yellow to the left and right lugs respectively. Just like the diagram. Then wire the surround (earth) to where the black wire is in the diagram?
  22. Well, yes, we practice every week (mostly) and don't pay anything. We can even leave our stuff there (I don't but we leave a drum kit and PA there). Before that we used to pay for 6 months or so at another place, £10 per night. The other group I am in pay, no idea how much though, but between £10-20
  23. I went to Firebird for a classical piano exam. But they had no piano and were at a loss as to why the exam board had sent me there. The staff were decent though, and it looked a decent set up.
  24. Im trying to figure out what's wrong between the diagram and the list of wires on the box as they match. 🤔 On the diagram I can see brown going to one side of the switch and yellow to the other. Then there's a red wire going to the volume pot. White, green and black go to the bottom of the switch and then onto the back of the volume pot.
  25. Yeah - they'll accept them. They just won't pay out. Dodgy practice if you ask me.
  26. I too am going through my gear and giving away pieces os I go along. I have so much equipment that I hardly know where to start! LOL
