£250 plus postage (probably about 12-15 quid, it's quite heavy). Brilliant piece of kit. I used it with various amp modellers and preamps. Sits comfortably on a pedal board and powers cabs of your choosing. Condition is good. There are a couple of superficial marks on it. The fan in this is fairly loud so if you've never heard one It can be quite disconcerting when it fires up! It has double lock stuck on the back at the moment but I can remove and clean if that's a requirement. I'll be sorry to see this go but it's become surplus to requirements and I'm trying to follow my new year's resolution! Thanks for looking, Andy Specifications Product Title: Seymour Duncan PowerStage 170 Product Code: 11901-002 General Power: 170 W @ 4 Ohms Channels: 1 Output Impedance: 4-8 Ohms Controls: Bass, Mid, Treble, Level (Master Volume) Level: 0 dB to 47 dB Treble Control: +/- 13 dB @6.61 kHz Mid Control: +/- 13 dB @712 Hz Bass Control: +/- 13 dB @87 Hz Inputs: 1 x 1/4'' Outputs: 1 x 1/4'' Length: 5'' (127 mm) Dimensions Height: 5.24'' (133 mm) Depth: 2.84'' (72 mm) Weight: 0.9kg (2lbs)

Choose a 5 string bass for £500 (ish)
Cornwall Steve replied to Cornwall Steve's topic in Bass Guitars
Terry, I should have asked you yesterday when you (very kindly) flagged up the BTB805 in florid natural, have you ever played a BTB ideally one of the later models. If so, what did you think? -
That might be referring to the fact that the “speed” option in the pitch tracking priority mode can now be used in the mode out too (previously it defaulted to “accuracy and so was a bit slower).

How was your open mic or jam night last night?
tauzero replied to tauzero's topic in General Discussion
Had a pretty full card tonight. Postponed from a couple of weeks ago as the organiser was unwell, there was a fairly small number of performers and as that included one drummer and one bass player, we were quite in demand - plus me playing guitar for Mrs Zero for four songs, and then we got called back for another couple later. We have another open mic night with the same organisers tomorrow night too. -

Here you go... Noble with flat EQ followed by Luce. Noble is about 4/5db louder in this setting.

Harley Benton flats - they're a bit good!
TheLowDown replied to mcnach's topic in Accessories and Misc
I think they're awesome and can't be beaten for price. All my basses use only HB strings now, i don't see the point in spending silly money on other brands when the HB strings do their job well enough for me. - Yesterday

having owned a L1000 and played L2000 ... I would use the L1000 passive bass treble and OMG wiring for it - it's' great.
-
I had come to that conclusion myself - with the added thought that I could drill a couple of the speaker mounting holes to hold the batten.

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
zbd1960 replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
I attended the rehearsal this evening of a local (adjacent town) brass band - they've asked me to be their conductor. My main aim this evening was just to listen to them, but I did end up conducting some of the rehearsal. Looks like I start properly next week.... there's a full diary of concerts and gigs.... eek. -

I normally have a rule about just buying gear that I like and not buying gear for a particular project and once again I have proven to myself why I should stick to that rule. 😔 In summer 2024 my main band decided to go entirely IEM. In autumn 2024 I was fired by that very band. In that time I did somewhere between 5-10 gigs with it. As such, my over £1000 of IEM rack has sat unused for the past year. I have held on to it for a while now but none of my current bands show any interest in going IEM and to be honest I have a hearing defect in one ear caused by a botched surgery when I was a kid that makes wearing headphones a little uncomfortable so that suits me just fine. I don't do things by halves and I put a lot of research into this before I bought it. Obviously you can spend car or even house money on the kinds of IEM systems that the pros use on big tours and this isn't that, but then it's not some budget Aliexpress dongle either. Think RCF pa speakers that sit in the goldilocks zone between Mackie and L'Acoustics. It's a nice prosumer system that works exceptionally well in a very neat 2u rack. I do have some IEMs but they are not the kind of thing that I would be comfortable selling (and expecially buying) second hand because they have been inside of me. For the record I was using this system with the very decent Shure SE215 but it's a standard output that will work pretty much anything out there. As it stands this is a stereo system so youi can have different mixes in each ear, but it can also be run mono. Anyone who has ever seen my gear will tell you that I am super-annoying with organisation and neatness. This rack has strain relief buit into the cables, everything is cable tied down to the shelf. The input loom coils up into the back of the rack. The power cables are tidied away. You get to a gig, take the lids of the rack, plug it into the wall and plug it into the mixer. 60 seconds, tops. When you do it will light up and you'll have a few spare sockets to plug the rest of your stuff into. Please note this is not the (c. £500 new) 'EW 100' series, this is the full-fat 'EW' series. I'm selling the whole rack as a complete system for £650. If you wanted just the IEM system (transmitter, receiver, power supply and rack ears) with none of the accessories that would be £550. I would however encourage anyone new to IEM to go for the whole system as if you do that then it's a turn key solution with all of the hard work done for you. Add headphones of your choice and go. Even if you're not in a brightly lit pop punk band and you turn the light bars off! Pickup from between Wylam and Newcastle. I can deliver locally or I can post. Please get in touch with any questions. Phil, many thanks for the help, it's much appreciated. As I said, for me as I have the ply and no drain pipe it might be simpler. I've now loaded the driver into the cabinet as it is and at low volumes it sound great, although I only completed this today and have only had the chance to try it with my Ashdown Rootmaster 800 (at low volume). I'm ging to see how it sound with the TC Electronic amp later this week. Still waiting for the grill to arrive too. I have a ruminate over which path to take regarding the port and let you know the results. I really appreciate all the work and support you and the others involved in the development of the BC cabinets, thank you. Regards David

Easily the most useful FI video I've watched, the formula works! How does the FM engine track compared to the VA? I got the vibe it definitely doesn't track as well from the video, but it could just be the playing/tracks.

I'm not one for hyperbole (he lied, I totally am), but those are SO GOOD!! The DX7 voices are like nothing I've ever heard from a bass synth. AWESOME work Peter, you've basically ticked off all my wishlist for a bass monosynth, I raise my hat to you and the team! Can't wait to try it. And then annoy the absolute snot out of my bandmates with it at every opportunity. Out of interest, the video mentions 'improved tracking' in passing. Is that compared to the current firmware or just to V3?
