Beautiful Alusonic Django 4 Deluxe Carbon custom shop. 2023 model in excellent condition, lightly gigged a handful of times and only for sale as I have been using short scale basses exclusivly for a while now and it's a shame for this amazing and versatile bass not to be used. Specs below, everything is the highest quality. It also has a hipshot drop tuner fitted, I will also include the original tuner. The strings which are Dean Markley nickel rounds. Plenty of online videos of these basses showing the sounds available, the 5 way pickup selection switch and active eq give a huge varity of tones all of which are usable. There is a active/passive push pull on the volume knob. Weight is 3.6kg and the balance is perfect on the strap, strap locks fitted which I will include. I'm not keen on posting this bass but if you have a courier you trust I will make sure the bass is well packed, it comes with it's original hardcase. also happy to drive for a halfway meet up, possibly Bristol or Yeovil, Dorchester area. Possible trade for a Fender JMJ mustang or any other interesting short or medium scale bass, depending on value I have a few more 34" scale basses I will be selling soon, Yamaha BB1500A, Yamaha BEX4, a roadworn Japanese Fender e series PJ-455 C o n s t r u c t i o n : Bolt – on Body: Chambered Selected Swamp Ash Body Body Finish: Open Pore Matte Black Acrylic Top: Carbon Fiber Top Finish: Clear Matte Acrylic Neck: Hard Maple with Graphite Reinforcing Rods Neck Thickness: 20mm at 1st fret, 23mm at 12th fret Neck Shape: Custom “C/V” Neck Finish: Epoxy Matte Black F r e t b o a r d : Graphitex F r e t b o a r d Finish: Natural Scale Length: 34″ (864mm) Radius: 12″ N u m b e r o f F r e t s : 24 F r e t s Size: Medium Jumbo String Nut: PPS “Tedur” N u t Wi d t h : 40 mm P o s i t i o n Marks: White Side Dots Truss Rod: 2-way Set in Normal Position Neck P l a t e : 5-Bolt Bridge: Alusonic Aluminium Quick Release Matte Black S t r i n g S p a c i n g : 20 mm Tu n e r s : Hipshot Ultralites Black Pickups: Alusonic Hybrid Alnico5/Neodymium Hum+Split Coil PBass Controls: Volume (push-pull Active/Passive), Treble (passive tone), Bass, 5-way Selector S w i t c h H a r d w a r e : Aluminium Matte Black P i c k g u a r d : Aluminium Matte Black Knobs: Aluminium Black String: Alusonic Steel 45/105 Wesso 3es: ABS Hardcase

They’ve just had to buy a whole new desk because the old one started doing phantom gain and level changes at random on several channels. So getting some ADDITIONAL cash out of the finance committee right now might er… erm… hopeful! In fact, I’ll bet that the additional functionality of a new desk vs one that’s 10-15 years old may be partly behind the experiment!

I'm winding everything back now and having a clearout of all the stuff I'm unlikely to ever use again. I'm open to sensible offers for any of these - the £900 shown in the listing is for the whole lot, collected. Prices include postage to UK addresses apart from the Take 5 - please PM to discuss collection or delivery options for that. Given that this is a clearout, I'm not really looking for swaps but feel free to let me know if you have anything - to be honest, it's unlikely but you never know! Sequential Take 5 analogue synth - immaculate condition, boxed, upgraded to the latest firmware and patches £750 Zoom R12 portable multitrack recorder - bought to record the band at rehearsal and only used once before the band imploded. Boxed, immaculate £150 Roland VT4 voice transformer - bought when I entertained fantasies of singing backing vox. Again, used just the once and then retired along with the rest of my dreams. £125 UNO drum machine - a great little drum machine, fantastic for giving us a basic beat whenever the drummer failed to make rehearsals. Light usage, boxed and immaculate condition £100 Waldorf Streichfett string synth - surprisingly versatile little synth that does a great job of recreating the sound of 70s string synths. Immaculate, boxed £150 Thanks for looking - if you have any questions or would like photographs, please PM

I wish I could get my main band in other people's feeds! 😸 Weird coincidence. I'm sure someone who understands algorithms could explain it, but I sure can't! -

Rotary encoders are now common as a replacement for pots in the digital world. They work by indicating whether to increase or decrease the level of a given parameter. For example, they are often used on home cinema systems as control but can also be used to select menu items. Any PA speaker with DSP and a display will incorporate one. They often incorporate a push switch so you push to enter a menu, then rotate to select a menu item. If you want to know whether you are using a pot or a rotary encoder, the best way to tell is that pots have up to 300 degrees rotation before you hit the end stop, a rotary encoder will go round and round a round if you turn it. This picture shows one on an active speaker, The one with the purple blob.

Yes, I made contact with Essex back in 2022 regarding that Status Groove and his price was sky high.

Ha Ha .... i lost a fair bit of weight between my other half designing the rings them being made and ahead of the wedding .. weirdly my hands were affected the most . It's fairly loose if I push it out Ignore johnny dibble .. the ring is safe on my left hand ... but bulky enough that it feels " odd" and affects my left hand dexterity ... probably a mental thing , we do play punk and it could definately go flying off the right finger . Resizing the ring isn't an easy option i the uk it's engraved in latvian inside and out .

I find the Status Groove basses quite interesting. I really enjoy my twin j pickups (in a single casing) in my Warwick Fortress Masterman basses & always wanted to try a Status Groove. If I could find one for 400 quid, I'd be a happy camper 😉

Oh I know, what's done is done, just pointing out that it's a bit rum that the pressure to do this was external.

I got a tier 2 fail for something similar - although went for the more extravagant Swiff wireless IEM than the cheap and cheerful Behringer!

Yeah next level in some cases. It's why I enjoy playing pop, there's often a load of work gone in by people who are anonymous session players but with huge musical knowledge. The best of them do what is right without needing to show off. I've looked at a lot of Abba but their songs do look challenging. I've only managed Does Your Mother Know to date.
