Stuck a recording on a mini disc (remember them) and used that one year when I used to DJ. Tried playing it from a recording on a CD one year before and the CD was scratched! It stuck a wee bit! In fact I think there are still folk out there holding their glasses up waiting for the chimes...

Just received a Alpha omega clone by DSfx, excellent build quality inside n out. The other black pedals ... DOD carcosa, green russian (blend n diode selection) , Darkglass vintage and a Keeley delay clone. Should be a new Boss xs-1 on there that my wife bought me for Xmas, after one day it wasn't working right (now on back order 😒).

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...
tauzero replied to kwmlondon's topic in General Discussion
That may be a prejudice, but surely not an irrational one. -
Oh that's a given but ideally for snagging rather than expecting to have problems. It would be nice to have a plan going into that.
-
Haha. That would be cool, I’d do that if I was playing in my rock/metal band, but this one is more pop/soul.

Looks USA made to me. Sterling by Musicman has a different logo, see pic, yours is the US logo. Also serial no checks out. What does it say on the back of the headstock? Your pics show the compensated nut which I don’t think are fitted to cheaper Sterlings. I have one of these in natural and yours looks an identical spec. I’d check carefully before you let this go too cheaply. -
In this case, I'm entirely responsible. I've learnt my lesson - no more guesswork, take it to someone who knows.

If they have a tv could that be connected to the PA, YouTube might get the adverts pop up unless you got premium

I have posted a few basses for sale and found that the file size for pics is massively different depending where you attach/copy and paste from. To keep the file size super low, take a picture in Whatsapp, send to yourself and copy/paste from there. same picture 1.6Mb vs 144 Kb is quite a saving. If you already knew sorry. If you didnt, you're welcome Have a great '26.

Must admit i thought the same. Ive never, ever, come across a modern device that wasn't using a standard jack. Certainly not IEM stuff.
-
I just replaced a broken Snark tuner , that’s ok in the rules , but I wanted to get it replaced before the next year begins.

I’ve been noticing on many forums and classified sites that things are not selling as quickly as they used to. Facebook advertising can be annoying , and yet in the local marketplace section deals can be found. It seems that things are unusually slow right now.

Rereading your original post, I think there is still some confusion here. In imperial measurements, the common headphone jack diameters are 1/4 inches and 1/8 inches. In metric, that would be 6.35mm and 3.5mm. When you talk about 1/2 inch jacks, and buying a convertor 'from 4.4mm to 3.5mm (1/4")', I wonder if you are confusing the imperial and metric equivalents and searching for the wrong adaptor? David

I don't know about streaming Big Ben but you've got to use them as the intro into AC/DCs Hells Bells. 👌
-
YouTube live stream audio of sky news perhaps?
-
The club we are playing tonight wants the Big Ben bells at midnight. Any recommendations on the best way to do this. Maybe use a radio app and stream into the PA and hope the WiFi holds up?
-
Not even if you Caine them! 😄

It's now December 31st. I might order a bass in a minute, as a year without buying anything music related just doesn't feel right. My left eye keeps twitching and I've developed stammer. 😁

For as long as I have been designing with class D modules, over 50% of the claims of a bad module have proven to be incorrect diagnostics… sometimes running as high as 80% incorrect diagnostics.

Which means that at some point the band will need to do a full technical rehearsal with all the equipment including the PA that they intend to use at gigs so you can definitely see if there are any problems.
