  2. The sum total of your mojo is some snapped off brittle plastic slider caps. As it sounds great my advice is leave it alone and play through it daily.
  3. Or you can use this tool, if you're doing it slowly, it will be very good: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264935588930
  4. The best way to do it is with a router, Chris.
  5. I think the main thing for me is to acknowledge my TT is essentially a Jazz bass and not a Precision so get the best I can from it as it is, rather than chase what it isn’t. It was a good sound but much deeper than I’m used to, tho as the rest of the band said the overall sound was better, with the guitar really standing out.
  6. I’m finding this a bit rude you’re trying to sell a very expensive item. You need to prove it is worth the price that you ask. I have a bridge to sell you, I ask only 3000€ It’s in London, but don’t ask me to prove that I own it. Would you buy from me?
  7. Hi! Do you still have the mono synth available? I'll PM you too.
  8. FYI. NZ law is basically UK law with wrinkles so I would be surprised if yours is any different wrt bankruptcy. Taxman. Secured Creditors. Wages and Salaries. Unsecured Creditors. Nobody gets anything until those higher have got theirs. In the case of a merchant buying stock and selling it, the suppliers may retain title on the stock until paid. If it gets sold they become unsecured AFAIK. Customers paying for stuff with a credit card or electronic debit card have a claim back through the bank. If you walked in and paid cash or eftpos you are SOL.
  9. For Sale Origin Effects Black label 64. These pedals are absolutely fabulous, bomb proof build quality, huge tonal variety and very easy to use and manipulate on the fly. It’s easy to see why this particular favourite of stellar UK session bassist Rob Mullarkey. If you want some cool vintage tones without having to lug a valve amp to your gigs here’s the solution. The unit is in excellent condition and comes with manual and original box. The price is £270 inc of postage to mainland UK. Will trade for a Cali 76 compressor plus cash. Any questions please do let me know.

  10. Not powerful enough to be efficient, your pickups will move way too easily. Good trick for guitar pickups, but not for bass pickups, especially if you rest your thumb on them to play. 😉
  11. I still remember being buzzed by one of those at dusk, while camping on a Dof E expedition in the Lake District. they did make quite a noise (not the band obvs!).
  12. That would be fantastic, thank you. Shall I pm you an email? I can learn a lot about signal paths with just a 4 but think that I'll inevitably end up buying an off the shelf, preferably 2nd hand 12 to fill the gap before a custom build is ready.
  13. Ball point pen compression springs
  14. How about The Aguilar OBP-1 is pretty small, and has mini pots, I wonder if that’ll work for you at a squeeze? Then again, it has a million wires to make room for. But if you didn’t mind routing under the pickguard for a battery then it might work? That’s what I did with my Ray, I have 2 x 9v batteries under the pickguard. Yep - fretless is great fun thanks, with an equal measure of it laughing at me when my intonation sucks 😂 Hoping this one is a keeper, stunning bass 👌 Good luck with yours 👍
  15. @Quasar79 wants the moon on a stick 😊 @gregorbass please can you show pictures of the neck heel and neck pocket, plus the rear side of the volume and time controls ? it is normal to do this when you say that this is a vintage instrument. It costs a lot of money and potential buyers want to be sure that it is really vintage **. That is why they ask so many questions, and to achieve a distance sale of a very expensive item you do need to be patient and understanding. UK sellers of vintage instruments do this same thing. asking myself why I’ve become his agent…
  16. @Sean I've done plenty of parallel amp path patches on the stomp. Some for 4, some for 8 and some for 12 string. Some are stereo for Alembics and my Grainger Hades though they do still work in mono as well. Happy to share if you wish.
  17. Hi folks, I have a bass body with rear access to the control cavity and what can only be described as a number of experimental holes - 7 in total - from the cavity to the front surface of the bass. I want to fill these with dowels, but each hole is a slightly different size so I want to standardise them all at 12mm to allow me to use 12mm dowels for all holes. I was going to use a 12mm drill but suspect that despite being quick and easy it might cause more harm than good, I then thought about using a round file but I imagine that's the hard way and will likely leave me with irregular/not-round holes. Thoughts re tools/techniques welcome 🙏
  18. Having a custom purple flake P being built by the, rather wonderful, Rob Flett - should be ready in the next week or so 😈
  19. Dropped to £180, without the spare strings I was originally including. This bass is in hardly used, mint condition.
  20. Over our heads - Zero 7
  21. Trike & slippers included?
  22. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  23. Dunno. I am a broadcast engineer so of course the first thing I did was open it up to see if anything needed recapping etc and from a peek inside with my trusty LED torch I cannot see anything that has been changed/ fixed / updated or even switched on over the years there’s not dust on the mosfet fins behind the fan, nothing. it’s truly in stellar condition. The only indicator of anything is the snapped off GEQ controls on the front but that could even be because the plastic has become brittle over the last 45 odd years. I haven’t got the preamp or the power section fully on my bench yet and am a bit trepidant to do so but I may have to in the interests of science! Also I’m gonna try to find replacement faders for the graphic section as that is the ONLY thing less than optimal at the moment. Curious and courioiser…..
