Amp books
The fasting showman posted a topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Amp books, prices based on being cheaper than a quick online search. UK only, some of these are heavy so I'm assuming £5 postage for which I'll try and buy the best postage deal. Will combine if needed obviously. Groove Tubes book. Good for info, taken with a pinch of salt, many tech articles and schematics. £25 plus postage. Gerald Weber ' a desktop reference of hip vintage guitar amps'. I'd review it similarly to the above. £20 + postage Teagle and Sprung Fender amps, £10 + postage couldn't add pic, will try again later. Many thanks for viewing, Martin -

I guess, for a definition of loud, yes. Acoustic drums are loud and a vast number of tub thumpers don't know how to/won't play softly, or use Thai Sticks (other musicians are sometimes just as guilty with their, "It's how I get my sound," attitude*). Therefore, everyone in the band has to play to level of the drums (or the *plonker mentioned earlier). So that's the loudness of the drums (or *), multiplied by the other members in the band. All it takes is for someone to tweak their volume (either through playing harder or thinking they can't be heard and hitting output knob) and then, more often than not, we're off to the db races. The problem lies in turning up all the time, rather than turning down the offending instrument (often because requests to the party involved result in a huff - this regardless of experience, age, etc 🤦♂️). It is a problem as old as music and exacerbated in recent times with the obsession with sub bass (no doubt encouraged by the DJ scene) and miking up the bass drum in venues where the drum kit is already loud enough to stun small animals at the back of the room. Perhaps this is why duos really became popular with some venues, not some spurious licence restriction. -

To be fair, the majority of BC membership is full of grumpy old barstools so getting them to 'like' a video is like poking a hungry bear. 😆 -

Ya know mankind has been real busy following what it thinks is successful while the world burns because folks don't think for themselves...now why would anyone want to sound like another ..oh yes theory...math music.. Where's the heart...that's where music lives, not in kissing others butto be accepted..I get it, I'm different..thank God.. Got Jesus? -

Recreating the synth part of The Weekend's One Right Now with my MXR Bass Synth. Pedal can't play super fast though but I still think it's incredible. These pedals, including the C4 Synth, do what they do but you got to play to their limits. Also, my wife loves The Weekend and Synth stuff so she requested this. @Sharkfinger Tried to play Ain't Nobody in the original tempo, and the pedal can't keep up to get an articulate sound like the record, Slower tempo you can do it but that;s no fun! I'm still exploring with all the parameters though so I may be missing something or maybe I'm just a bad player =(

"Clearer" does not necessarily mean better either, but too loud for the room was and is always bad. -
Fantastic Jazz Bass from Mayones. It is upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups and a Sadowsky preamp. Original 2 band Mayones preamp is included. It weighs something around 4.3 kg. Balances perfectly. Action can go as low as you want without buzz. Fantastic professional grade jazz bass. I am located in Netherlands. Can ship within EU. I had many deals on this forum without issues.

Plenty. But your bass is probably the best of the lot. I just couldn't listen too long, my allergies flared up, too much hallellujah ewe ess ei for my brain. -
This IS an example of the manufacturer getting it wrong, despite the OP checking with them they still haven't corrected it yet. I've seen something similar on the Squier website earlier this year (listing a bass as volume/volume when the example in my hand was clearly master volume/pan) Mistakes clearly happen but I'm not expecting the makers themselves to make such basic errors I guess.
