  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t really form emotional bonds to celebrities as they’re just normal people like you and me, but I always had a soft spot for Ozzy. My first big gig was Ozzfest. Great introduction to rock and live music. Seemed like he had a good life and a happy family. Isn’t that what most of us want?
  3. The neck is narrowish near the headstock. Bit jazz bass style. Yes, great tonal options and punchy.
  4. Markbass Travellor 1 x 15, 400 watt, 8ohm cab. In great condition. Hardly gigged. £250.00 Collection only or can meet within reasonable distance.
  5. So the song seems to me (listening while watching the football) to be in G, so I’d just use the G major scale as a guide to the notes you want to hit. (I can’t tab that out, but you can find it online!)
  6. Yeah, you’re right ! Now edited 😬
  7. My little tribute. 6 billion bats can sleep easlly tonight. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/crazy-train-ozzy-osbourne/

  10. Thank you all so much for the tips, I will keep pushing plying by ears hopefully I will make up something decent, this is an example of the song we are going to play, this is the acoustic version, simple, and as you can see there are little chord guitar, in your opinion how could I fit the bass into this song? Could you make an example of tabs for bass that could sound nice for this song? Thank you in advance
  11. So sad RIP to the great man of metal 🤟
  12. Mate - now is really not the time for jibes like that. As business driven and unlikeable as you may find her - her husband has passed away. Christ.
  13. Has anyone ever played a Hohner fretless Jazz ? I had one years ago and sold but I kind of miss it; it sounded amazing but was as heavy as a boat anchor!

  15. I have pretty much the twin of this bass in white - early 80s lined fretless Tokai jazz. It's a gorgeous bass - nicest neck I've ever played. I replaced the pickups with Bartolinis which really enriched the sound but if this one is like mine, it's a wonderful instrument, better than very many of the Fenders I've tried.
  16. Good luck Andy in whatever you choose to do. Band members can suck all the enjoyment of playing music right out of you.
  17. All good thanks Steve. Still got the Ultra Jazz, got tempted to swap it for something with a bit more of a subtle finish, but so glad I kept it. recorded with it recently and it sounds brilliant. Hope you are good too.
  18. enjoy the new pedals !

  20. Wow, only just seen this on the news. I'm shocked and I don't know why because he's obviously been very unwell for some time. Puts a different perspective on things if he knew he was getting close to the end. No exaggeration to say that Ozzy and Sabbath were a big part of my life and my imagination going back to when I was a kid in the 1970's. Ozzy was a cult icon even back then, before the rest of the world joined in. It's the end of an era, but his legend will only grow. Sabbath's music has already stood the test of time, and I have no doubt people will still be listening to them a hundred years from now. A one-off original, the genuine article. Rest in peace Ozzy.

  22. Would the band not be interested in some pro vids to use for advertising on social media and to get gigs. Sometimes you need to fork out a bit of cash for the band. Even a good mate with a Go-Pro or Zoom could do the job. I've found some phones have a weird sound system that focuses on vocals and drops the background noise and when singing stops the guitars and bass volume comes back up to normal. Not sure if that's something you select on your phone ? Dave
  23. Only just seen this, sounded like a brilliant idea.
  24. Deeply saddened by this news. We all knew it was coming but I didn't expect it so soon after the Back to the Beginning show. An absolute legend, who lived more of a life than most of us could ever imagine.
