  3. Will add more as I go…
  4. Was that you playing with East of Java at Blackmore a few weeks back using this bass???
  5. In progress…
  6. Holy old thread revival Batman !! I have two of these and they are my pride and joy. The six string is a solid Shedua body with figuring from something several leagues higher. The fretless is arguably nicer. I'll never part with them.
  7. Yeah, it's the sounding off that made me listen a bit closer. IIR this came out after the Commitments movie, which prompted a lot of covers bands at the time to start playing Motown songs. I agree, I think he played it wrong and no one has picked up on this before. Now im aware of it I think it's ok to play this, even though in isolation it doesn't seem right. I think this version is probably the version a lot of pub bands do compared to the original.
  8. Hey all, been eyeing these up. Schecter C4 standard. But can't really find anything online about these models exactly. Weird how there's no videos on youtube or social media really. Or have I just not found them? Anyways. Just wondering what people have these and thought of them?
  9. Whiskey In My Whiskey — The Felice Brothers
  10. WOW. You never see these early TRBp,s with a quilted top ever especially in this condition. Really rare bass.
  11. I've never heard this cover of the Otis Redding classic before but you are indeed hearing a G# not an A as you suspected and weirdly enough it sounds "off" to me. Much prefer the A. As has been mentioned it could be that this version has strayed from the original somewhat. IF the piece is in b minor then the G# is outside the key and explains why it sounds off to my ear.
  12. Love on the Rocks - Neil Diamond
  13. Is that more or less than 5/10 of f-ck all? Asking for an engineer friend.
  14. Shout out to Mark at speakergrills.co.uk, two grills arrived very quickly and at a reasonable price (£110 for the pair, with all the trimmings like boxing and powder coating). The quality is good, as is the fit. I'm in no doubt they will protect the speakers very well. Will take these for a gig in a week. I'm sure they'll be great.
  15. It'd be interesting to compare how Johnny Colt plays it compared to Duck Dunn on Otis Redding's original version. Maybe( probably) Johnny isn't playing a faithful rendition.
  16. Price drop on the H9 as I think I overpriced it - £330 including postage (UK)

  18. Hi folks, more stuff from the spares draw. These are very lightweight tuners and the one that Low End Lobster has been fitting to his Sire basses as a drop in replacement. This specific item seems to be particularly hard to find anywhere at the moment. It is brand new and unused. £35 inc. P&P to UK mainland Here are a couple of pics and the link to Lobster's YouTube vid on the subject.
  19. For me the place had the odd sense of death. Not down to the usual clientele but a lot of people died of water-borne diseases whilst living in the pub as they dug the canals in the 1830s, as I later found out

  22. If the neck is Fender, it’s had a new nut, fingerboard, inlays and frets. The body might be but again has been modded beyond meaningful originality. It’s a dog if there ever was one.
  23. Killer sounding Mark Bass Vintage Pre Amp very light studio use never gigged. comes with original PSU any question ask
  24. Getting flashbacks … used to live 100yards from there and work just other side of the a610. Looks like someone painted it all since … and removed the axes buried in the wall.
  25. Bump for probably the most useful Sansamp model I've used.
