  1. Past hour
  2. Correct. Great sounding pickup and a great playing little vintage Fender!
  3. I drilled the main board the other day and have just swaged the eyelets. There are also 3 turrets, which will support the rectifier diodes and provide connection points for the incoming AC. The red stickers cover the mounting holes where the standoffs will go, so that some eejit doesn't stick eyelets in them...
  4. Cream - Prince
  5. Thanks for that. They look the business and he's got loads of experience of doing it. What are we looking at GBP 5-6k? Or are we into double figures?
  6. They really are! It's served me well but I've got a new compact set-up now. This did sell on eBay but the buyer kindly cancelled just as id finished boxing it up 🤦‍♂️
  7. Today
  8. https://nuxaudio.com/product/c5rc/ Sorted my need small no interference and the carry case is a power bank if your caught out
  9. There's a guy on BC, based in Holland builds @Brookes basses, they are top notch. I'd have to say that the cost of a custom build might come as a bit of a shock! I priced up with several luthiers and most were talking about having to get custom parts as very little is off the shelf.
  10. You are absolutely right that they did come originally with American made Barts. I still have them so I can include them with sale in case someone wants to put it back to more original.
  11. German flat back 3/4 double bass. Circa 1930. D neck. Recently undergone restoration. New neck, fingerboard, bass bar, bridge, end pin and all cracks repaired and secured. This bass is in excellent condition. String length 105.5 cm. Reasonable offers considered. Located in Bath
  12. No, I've been trying to find someone local to me. It may have to come to this though, I'll check him out.
  13. Still want this but wallet says no 😔
  14. Also - BC advises putting ownership into the pictures (like including a post-it note with your BC handle or something) so the pictures can't be used to rip someone off elsewhere (or on here)
  15. Have you spoken to Stan at The Amp Hospital in Guildford?
  16. I had one of these around 2005. A beauty she was. A super skinny necked tone monster. Had Barts in it as far as I remember. I’ve always regretted selling it as it was such a lovely player. Alas, I needed a Precision and so it went. If I had the cash I’d be sorely tempted. GLWTS
  17. One we used to use in Glasgow had some power extension cords with PAT test fail stickers on them, in daily use. I suppose at least they'd had the tests done.
  18. The temptation is strong indeed. It depends how close the tone is to the old ones for me. I'd love that old RB tone in a modern reliable and dependable package. One of my vintage RBs is poorly, and it's possibly terminal, and I can't find anyone to fix it, the other two are ok for the time being, but who knows what the future will bring. I have a modern Class D Legacy 800 too, it's not the same, but it has it's place. I would be looking at the 1001RB Legacy, and that would be way more power than I would ever need.
  19. Trades - X Touch Universal, maybe Alto TS215. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  20. Hi all I've had a 12-string itch for years and I used to gig a Dean Rhapsody back in the day and loved it. I've never really found a 12 that suits me, The dUg, The Stargazer, 30/32" scales dont cut it. I know in my head what I want. I'd like to get a 12 built that essentially follows the Spector recipe of 34", maple thru-neck, weight-relieved maple sandwich wings, ebony or maple board, inays, EMGs and HAZ-clone (easy). The contenders could be Shuker, Overwater, Sei, Yarde, others. Do any of know someone who's into 12s and can build them? Have any of the top British builders done one before? What does the collective think and advise on this one?
  21. That is such a shame, and such a poor response from G4M.
  22. Same problem, with my SR400. The volume pot is a non standard Alpha Tiwan RV16AF-41 ?? 25R B500K The problem is the ??. I've measured the bushing and it looks to be M8 17mm. I've messaged Rapid Electronics to see what they can find. I've bought the standard RV16AF-41 off their website but its too short. I'm going to dismantle it and see if the top is swappable. Edit - it's not.
  23. Hi, I’m selling my Strymon Zuma Pedal Power Supply. £180 includes postage within the UK Includes an IEC lead, 7 of the original power cables (right angle to straight) and a handful of voodoo labs power cables (right angle to right angle) Specs: 9 high-current, fully isolated outputs. 9 outputs offer 9V DC option. 500mA per 9V DC output powers nearly any pedal. 2 selectable outputs offer 9V, 12V, or 18V DC options. 12V option provides 375mA, 18V provides 250mA. 24V OUT jack allows connection to additional outputs via Strymon Ojai (sold separately). One slight little chip to the paint on the top (photo below) and there’s a bit of sticker residue on the bottom left over from previous Velcro. Thanks, Mike
