Hi Nick, Thank you for posting Nick's foundation info. I can't imagine how proud he would be to know this exists... It was good to meet you at the studio, thought I'd join the BC forum now I'm learning to play bass. Kathryn (aka Blondy!) Ps purchased a little Squier Mustang in Olympic white 😍

Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.

I usually blame the drummer when its tuning issues. 😂 TBH i just blame the drummer for everything. Is that not why we have them ? 🤣 Dave

Pea Turgh started following Carlsbro. A blast from the past.

Had to find a lookalike of my first amp. Did its job I suppose!

One of my daughters was running the Hackney Half too. She got a PB. Your music must have lifted her to new levels! 😀👍

It’s mainly the scarcity that is pushing the prices up. Obviously the premium graphite necked stuff is going for all the money these days, but the wooden necks with graphite rods are catching up fast. I’m heading down to Kent on Friday to pick up a really nice ‘94 Series-1 wooden through neck instrument. Even that will be up for around £900 if I choose to move it on.

… the clean blend is useful on the Alma, but it doesn’t have a mid EQ like the Diamond. Both are very nice, but I particularly like the Alma as it’s made in the UK 🇬🇧

You know something? Watching Pino playing in the John Mayer Trio, I always wondered why he always stood right in front of that massively tall Ampeg cab. The obvious answer is that it’s the only place he could actually hear his Precision strung with flats. He would have had less of an issue with a Jazz on rounds.

I've had a couple of Carlsbro amps: Singray guitar and the Bass version with the push-button tones.

But is it any less environmentally friendly that the amount of power required for 5+ competing streaming services (who all have mostly the same catalogue) and the devices they are being streamed to? And the objective is both, and if you are entertaining and good at promotion, IME it works.

Hi everyone! Selling my Hamstead Subspace. Absolutely incredible drive pedal but I just don’t have a need for it anymore. Virtually brand new and never gigged as only bought recently. Looking for £220 collected from NW London but happy to ship for a bit extra to cover postage! Just let me know where you’re based and I’ll total it up. James

Wrong, I’d rather play a Squire P bass than your Sadowsky and just plug in and not have to turn a million knobs to get it to sound like a p bass. 🤣😂🤣

Hi everyone! Selling my Trickfish Trilobite preamp! Absolutely awesome piece of kit and super versatile with its dual channel setup. Been experimenting with different preamps and have just decided to settle on a different one so this is no longer needed. Still in excellent condition so asking for £550 collected from NW London (Pinner). Happy to deliver for extra cost. DM me if you’re interested! James
