  2. The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades - Timbuk 3
  3. If it's the original Turbosound woofer it's 4 ohms. No specs online though. No markings on the tweeter. FWIW, the internal volume of the box is about 2.25 sf and it seems to be tuned to about 70 Hz.
  4. Thanks Tony, very nice example
  5. That's a good point, but the end result is still the same in so much as I feel like there are far fewer desirable new basses that I would consider buying. I expect a few other folks feel the same way. A lot of the newer builders are offering what is essentially yet another faithful rendition of a Fender i.e brands like Moolon or Olinto, for example. There's less variety of worthwhile original designs, for my taste anyway.
  6. Very nice Brian
  7. Technically, Modulus and Status are still around, but obviously not producing at nearly the scale that they once were.
  8. So this is my current wiring. Looks like the cap is already removed? Just the two caps in there
  9. the change is brands like you listed that formed themselves and advertised via magazines and working with musicians (who you probably found about from press) to now where the brand starts and communicates via instagram and similar platforms.
  10. The Vintage/Modern switch is a clever mod; it just engages a short across the cap when in normal position and disengages it when pulled. An easy retro-fit and invisible from outside.
  11. I've just added it for ye. Basically if you don't want the first image you need to download the image you want to use then manually upload it as the thumbnail, which I'm not sure a regular user can do themselves.
  12. There's nothing wrong with the bolt-on Thumb, it's just slightly different in certain aspects to the neck-thru. There might well be a good reason why Warwick have made those slight changes for the bolt-on version.
  13. Hi everyone, I'm selling my Origin Effects DCX Bass Preamp & Overdrive, which is in almost new condition and comes with the original box and papers. This pedal is fantastic! It can be used as a preamp for recording or for directly connecting to an interface. Additionally, it works great as an overdrive/distortion pedal. It offers numerous voicing options and has an active EQ for both the low and high frequencies. This pedal is a wonderful addition to Origin's Bass Rigs and sounds particularly good in front of the Bass Rig 64, providing extra drive and saturation. I've also enjoyed using it as a tone shaper when recording; it allows you to really mould your sound, whether you prefer an old-school vibe or a more modern, hi-fi tone. I may regret selling it, but I want to explore other options. The journey never stops! I am also interested in trades (+cash from me if needed): a power supply like Cioks DC7 or Strymon Zuma (I need at least 7 outputs) a chorus pedal, preferably a Boss Waza Craft Dimension C, but I can look at other options pedal loopers/switchers (to switch pedals in/out of the loop) Free insured postage in the UK, or we can meet in London. Thanks for looking!
  14. one oddness is if you post the thread without pics and subsequently add them to the thread by editing the software does not add a thumbnail, as I found with a couple of listings recently
  15. Shiny Shiny! - Haysi Fantayzee
  16. Do you guys at BD have any idea what happened there?
  17. Such a good sound. I'm loving the fact everything is on the facia too and is switchable on/off. 2 eq presets 13 band eq Tilt eq Compression hi Compression lo Valve or solid state pre Etc
  18. This is their Coaster series - their cheapest basses and guitars. Apparently not bad but not great either. I did try a Tele style one before and it was fine - no better and no worse than your average Squier bullet or similar.
  19. Here we have a 1977 Fender precision in Olympic white This was a one owner from new which I got after he passed, been well looked after and all original right down to the screws and covers No Fender case as it had seen better days but the one pictured will come with it At some stage the pots were changed out for more modern ones but fortunately he kept the originals which are now installed Frets are very good, the body has now gone a nice yellow colour which is common for OW guitars Apart from the dinks at the bottom the body is in good shape, neck is true and no dents at the back, truss rod working as it should Weight is just shy of 4.4 Kg's Nut width is 42mm Pickups dated to 77, pots dated 76 and serial on the back of the plate matches the headstock It currently has rounds but I might see if I can get some flats for it if you prefer Lovely dark board and good action.. Any questions please get in touch and thanks for looking
  20. Bass now £1200 for one week. I’ve got my eye on something but if I miss it the bass will go back to original price.
  21. Charlie Sheen - King's X
  22. More or less of a faff than deleting the entire thread and recreating it with the correct picture loaded first? I have absolutely no coding knowledge, but I would have thought that this locked process of the first picture you upload being the thumbnail with zero ability to amend would be a process that could be changed to allow for a seller to pick the thumbnail they want to display?
  23. So many bass makers are gone recently, Modulus, Pedulla, Vigier, Status, and now G&L. Myself, I don't see any of the newer makers as offering worthwhile alternatives to what those established brands offered. I know Wal are still going and turning out better basses than ever but last I heard it was a six year wait, so in practise you can't really buy a bass from them either.
  24. Who Are You? - The Who
  25. Delivery within reason possible….
  26. Genuinely think this should be in a player’s tonal chain. Took out on a Jazz/Funk gig and it was smooth as butter!! Almost has me changing my mind…..just too much a luxury with the other stuff that I own and use!!
