Unless you need the extra functions of the Wing, I would stay with the XR18. It’s not my favourite mixer but if it works for you it saves the hassle of learning a new board. Once you go up a step like that the extra functions can take a lot of time to master unless you go on a training course. That can cost almost the price of a new mixer. If you are minded to change, look at the AH ranges, but again learning curve and £££. Do a cost benefit analysis.

The DM610 is a large bookshelf/standmount speaker from renowned hi-fi brand B&W, featuring a well-braced 30-litre sealed cabinet with 8-inch mid-bass driver. The larger driver and extra cabinet space create a much better low end range than from most similar speakers. This model allows for either bi-wiring or bi-amplification. These speakers present clean tight bass response, surprisingly clear mids for such a large driver and the pleasant highs that the well-designed B&W tweeter at that time was famous for. They can be driven quite loud, enough for the physical effect of the bass to be felt without audible distortion or a sense of sound compression. Both speakers are in Very Good condition, especially for their vintage. All-original, complete with full grilles (one of which has a small hole, shown in the final photo). Only £125. Collection from Bournemouth BH6 preferred. Here comes the science bit… Type: 2-way closed, shelf speaker Colour: Ash black veneer Dimensions: 490 x 236 x 303 mm (H x W x D) Weight: 7.8 kg Recommended amplifier power: 30-150 W Frequency response: 70 - 20,000 Hz (±2 dB) Crossover: 2500 Impedance: 4 Ohm

I've made one of these. I'm still not sure exactly why, haven't decided on a use for it yet. To decode the keypresses, I'd use a MM74C922 encoder which will generate a 4-bit number depending on which of 16 buttons is pressed so you don't have to try to connect 13 switches to the Pico. Then you need to connect the switches between the X and Y connections like so: X 1 2 3 4 Y 1 C C# D D# 2 E F F# G 3 G# A A# B 4 C Fn1 Fn2 Fn3 That gives you 0 for C, 1 for C#, etc. As far as the challenge goes, it's difficult to say. Strict observation would give a Tier 2 fail on purchase of the MidiMuso kit, as that's where the intent to create a MIDI controller manifests itself in a purchase. Up till then you could have just been building a Mandelbrot display https://www.instructables.com/Mandelbrot-Set-on-Pi-Pico-ILI9341/.

Beauty, too few builders use the classic SC PUPs in anything other than 51 RIs or derivatives (although Alpha do it very nicely), and it's a lovely sound 👍

Price reduced Lovely Amp. Blackstars up to date take on the Roland Jazz Chorus Stereo amplifier with added Modelling and effects. its a 100 watt 2 x10 combo and certainly loud enough for gigs. Weighs about the same as my old 50 watt Boss Katana 1x12 It works from the front panel but deep dives magnificently when you add the Free Blackstar Architect ( previousy insider) Mac/PC library editor. Preset download from the Blackstar community gives you access to a gazillion different sounds too if you’re about that. Works totally fine. It’s had a baby-ed home studio existence since birth (2017) and certainly never gigged. My guitar playing at home in the studio has taken me on a different journey ( one that involves Open Source NAM Computer Modelling and headphones ) having a great stage amplifier like this simply makes no sense any more. If you want to part ex against something musically related we could certainly have a conversation about that though I’d certainly not ( initially ) be looking to spend any money from my side unless it’s something mind boggling-ly special. there’s no footsitch but tgeee. An be obtained if that is a requirement

The Real Thing by Faith No More. I haven't listened to it in years and forgot just what a masterpiece it is. One of the all time great rock record, id put it up there with Led Zeppelins best. Billy Gould deserves more recognition as a great bassist.

For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250, £230 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.
