Any suggestions for the matt finish, brands that work please? I didn't know that 2000 grade wet and dry would matt a shiny surface down. That's good to know I'll not spray outside now 😊

I've never felt the need to measure but the action on this Dean Exotica was so high that I could slip a pencil between the strings and the fretboard at the 12th fret. Put on a set of D'Addario black tapewounds and voila!

Any areas that are shiny can be restored back to a matt finish by using very fine wet & dry paper (2000 grade). You wont see any scratches, especially if you use the paper dipped first in weak soapy water and keep the surface moist while working.

I have a herniated disc between my C5 and C6 vertebrae, so upper backache is a thing. I had physiotherapy, and luckily I got a guy who was experienced with musicians and explained some of how the weight of an instrument is distributed. Based on his suggestions, I raised my bass up from just above waist height to mid-belly height and it's made a big difference. In terms of the biomechanics, it's now sitting in a spot where the muscles in the middle of your back are compensating your balance instead of the muscles higher up your back and in your shoulders. Also, the lower you have your bass, the more work your shoulders and upper back have to do because of the position of your arms. You have to raise your elbows a little to keep your wrists straight, but not a lot, and it becomes second nature after a while. Conversely, if you have lower back pain, wear the bass lower as it moves the distribution of the weight upwards, which sounds counter-intuitive, but it works. There's a "sweet spot" there that you'll find. Setlists - bigger font and use more sheets of paper? Screen on pedalboard - if you're a Zoom guy, consider an upgrade to the B6. The screen is bigger, brighter and, most importantly, in colour - there's different colours for the different blocks, which makes differentiating them without having to necessarily read them much easier. Love my B6. Just wish it was a full steel chassis and had a built-in expression pedal. It has all the same stuff in it as your one, so recreating your patches will be easy.

To be fair I think you're right. I'm pretty sure they only introduced the 4 ohm version a couple of years ago and made the 4 and 8 ohm versions the standard options since then but will still do a 2 ohm version on request -

As a regular train traveller I've found the limiting factor is more what I can carry/cart around. Even on a busy train you can just stand in one of the bike areas with your luggage if there are no spare seats to stack it on.

Great for home recording or podcast. Fostex PMO.3 powered monitors. With separate Fostex PC1 volume control. Great little monitors. The power unit has recently been repaired, and they’re good to go. T.Bone SC400 condenser mic, boxed and unused with cradle. Studiospares mic isolator cube. Clever little thing. Never used. I'll throw in a mic stand too if you want it. All packed in a neat wheeled suitcase with extending handle. £100 collected, or delivered/meet up round Bath/Bristol area. -

Squier Jaguar H bass - medium (32") scale. Modified with an Ibanez pickup out of an ATK800 (quad coil), switch added for series/single/parallel switching. Fender high mass bridge. Black pickguard, original white one will be provided. You can even have the stock pickup if you want, but the Ibanez pickup sounds so much better. Great wee bass in excellent condition, only a few very minor dings. Modified to sound way better than stock and much more flexible/useable. Selling at the price a stock one would, because I'm lazy and I know that mods are basically worthless in the market. But don't take the mick - no offers please. Would love a local-ish sale (Aberdeen), but can box it up and ship it at buyer's expense.-

⭐Supporting Member⭐ 2.6k This is a traditional Laney 15", 100 Watts combo. First the bad news: No light weight speaker, no Class D amplifier, so it comes in as 30Kg (and is quite big). (But slightly lighter than the Marshall B150 that I am listing) It has a gouge in the tolex near the left hand side handle. Apart from that if it is all positive. This is fully functional (just checked it) and would be ideal for "fixed" installation such as a studio or practice room, as a fixed backline in a pub or something, or for a younger man than I now am!. Not used this much and only bought it (rashly) because it was available This is actually quite a different beast to the Marshall B150 that I am also listing (separate thread). Amp is 100 Watts into 4 ohms. Amp has socket for additional speaker, so possibly internal speaker is 8 ohm. I'm not sure. Ported Cabinet. All solid state (no valve preamp) Remotely selectable Pre Shape. NO Classic Bass & Treble controls, but ... Remotely selectable 10 Band Graphic EQ with in/out volume adjustment.
