  1. Past hour
  2. 😍
  3. We arrived early and went round the festival before anyone else! Bought some naga chilli sauce which was my level. Tried hotter ones, but the flavours weren’t as good.
  4. added a diy noise maker from holy island it can run of the two solar panel but one of mine is faulty, but it has a back up 9v super simple sounds weird which is what I want
  5. Selling this nice passive DI from Radial Eng. Details here Looking for £65 posted within mainland. Can be collected in Aylesbury. I might have the original box somewhere, will have to dig the storage.
  6. When enlarging headstock tuner holes I’ve used successfully either a hand-held reamer (as suggested by @Hellzero) or a step drill bit with a drill chuck and t-bar handle. Slow and steady by hand………just watch out for chips occurring in the surface coating (poly worse than nitro). If you can locate centrally a washer or coin of the desired final hole size, pre-score around it with a sharp scribe. This will help minimise chips and serve as a guide for the drill/reamer.
  7. I couldn’t play that. The band would be running round trying to find me trying all the chilli products
  8. I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.
  9. Ditch the tort-ure scratchplate? Seriously though if my credit cards weren't giving me daily manxiety i would snatch you arm off, it's a stunning bass.
  10. Today
  11. ….and of course if you installed a pair of Dimarzio model Ps in there the adjustable pole pieces would have it covered anyway 👍
  12. My solution for that - a wristband, pulled up to where the forearm meets the body. I play basses with zero forearm contouring, even binding without issue if I do this.
  13. Marvellous!
  14. I did buy that but returned it due to the lack of a forearm contour. It sounded great and the colour looked amazing. Was really sorry to part with it but I knew from previous experience, it would be uncomfortable for me to play.
  15. Here? Basschat? I am losing my grip. I thought I had been through the adverts!! Off to look now!
  16. Jack has some VERY interesting basses but most are too esoteric and/or expensive, so sadly this is still here. A Precision with rosewood board would grab my attention, as would cash 🤔
  17. Aha still a month! But I will be coming through Manchester. Kind offer! You could demonstrate as my bass knowledge far outweighs my proficiency! Is it a B2A?
  18. There's an Ibanez Axstar and a Yahaya Motion here for sale that would fit your specs. Iba even has a 34" scale. Check them first. I have a partsbass with a Status neck. Because the neck is so stable, I detach it and pack it with the body to hand luggage. No one has asked about the neck coming out from the bag.
  19. Runnymede Live, Victory Park, Addelstone. It only took 2 years but Electrik Soup finally got around to doing a gig! The phrase 'herding cats' was invented for this band 😆 Outdoor gig today, fortunately the weather was good. We were the first band on at 12:45pm. Set consisting of mainly 90's indie and Britpop (hence the bucket hat). One of the guitarists forgot to bring the bass amp, so I used a Warwick Gnome belonging to the other guitarist, just as a DI. It sounded really good, with a surprising amount of 'heft'. On stage monitors were plentiful and although we didn't have a sound check the on stage sound was sorted by the third song, and FOH sounded great according to the punters I spoke to. I only took a clip on tuner, which died as I was tuning. All I needed on an out door gig 😖. But Shuker 3 is awfully resilient and tends to stay in tune regardless of environment. So I got away with it. Gear: Shuker 3 > Airbridge wireless > Warwick Gnome (DI) > FOH
  20. Leave the caps alone, age does not mean that there are problems, or that there will be problems. The whole notion of “must recap” is an absurd extrapolation from a little bit of truth.
  21. I like the song but yeah that bass is buried isn't it?
  22. When are you back in the UK, and where will you be based? I'd be happy for you to check out my Hohner if you are anywhere near Warrington / Manchester. David
