Easy mistake to make these days. It's hard to tell what's real and what's Memorex when it comes to news stories. Bloody AI.

I do make a multifunction buffer/booster contraption with user-configurable input Z (via DIP switches) that hardly anybody knows about because I hate marketing. You might want to give it a look: https://www.jtex.ca/products/bmb

When I was younger and had to do a class talk or something, Dad used to tell me to imagine everyone in the audience dressed as a clown. The reasoning being that it makes the audience a lot less scary. It didn't work for me 😄. Or you could look at just above the back of the audience, which gives the impression that you're interacting with the audience. Something else that you may find useful is the fact that excitement and nervousness are exactly the same emotion, the only difference is the label we attach to them. Best of luck anyway 👍

Skinner started following Two Notes Le Bass

Two Notes Le Bass preamp pedal with various clean and drive options. In very nice condition (very minor paint chips on side/underneath edge as seen in photos) and perfect working order. Lovely warm valve tone, I have the Revolt as well so don't need them both. Includes the original box and manual but no power supply: nothing too radical required 12v centre negative. Collection welcome or UK insured postage for £12.00

That is a heck of a find! one of those cabs would go very well under my Treble and Bass 50 crocskin! hellzero on here recommended me this dude https://jonsnell.co.uk/ for valve amps. And Terry Jacob from The Great Little Valve company in Worthing is a genius, GLVC office/Demo room: 17 Selden Road, Worthing West Sussex, BN11 2LL

Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK

This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers

My favourite ever rig was a pair of FR800s which were essentially powered big babies. I think you'd be very happy with the two smaller cabs.

I like Jim, I discovered him when he did his ‘where does tone in a guitar come from?’ video. This amp one is more of the same, but this time I already knew the answer. I talked to the amp specialist in Chandler’s about the difference in tubes and the tonal differences we hear between Marshall and Fender guitar amps. He told me that it was actually mostly about the placement of the tone stack in the circuit and this video demonstrates that perfectly. The name of that tech? Brinsley Schwarz (yes that Brinsley Schwarz), he’s an amp nut. This whole thing certainly questions the whole SS vs Valves argument, but that’s what Jim does, he challenges perceived thinking and marketing. He’s a pretty tasty player too.

NBD: 2023 Music Man Stingray Special 5
dub_junkie replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in Bass Guitars
Congrats! This was my old bass judging by the serial number. I had it and a 2023 Raspberry burst at the same time. Great basses! -
I do really like what this does but unemployment isn’t compatible with having 5 preamp pedals so something’s got to go. This does a nice console breakup and the Pultech EQ thing via two toggle switches. Really high quality headphone amp too. Has a high pass filter too, which isn’t seen so often. In outstanding condition with original box. (More pictures to follow.)

Site behaving differently?
SpondonBassed replied to graham1945's question in Site Issues and Questions
Since the move to https, I have to either sign in if I have been "inactive" for more than a certain period*, or refresh (f5) frequently to keep me logged in. *The period seems to vary depending on the time of day. In the mornings I have to refresh more often if I am not seen by the site to be active. This includes answering posts. It's frustrating to write a detailed reply to a post and find that I am logged out by the time I hit the Submit Reply button. I have learned to copy my reply to the clipboard in case my work disappears. it's okay most times because the site remembers my draft when logged back in (as long as I haven't left the thread to which I am replying). On the odd occasion that it doesn't I have to start again from scratch unless I have my work copied to the clipboard. -

RSV60 started following Overwater D string metallic resonate sound issue
-
My 4 string Overwater bass, D-string makes a metallic resonate sound when D# note or open D-string is played finger style at pickup closest to the bridge. Checked bridge saddle of d-string ( bridge is not the most user friendly) Used different strings. But cannot locate the cause. All other strings are fine and do not have any issues🤷 No loose screws. intonation is fine. Any suggestions? Thx Jack
