simonlittle Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Either it’s a brand new seller using eBay for the first time who’s massively underestimated the cost of shipping a bass… or it’s a scammer. If I were seriously interested in that bass I’d want to be making that deal in person either way 2 Quote

Unfortunately, it's the other side of the country from me... Quote
rwillett Posted September 4 Posted September 4 No feedback. I've seen postage errors loads of times to be honest. The lack of feedback is the issue for me. Half price isn't bad. Realistically priced is one way or looking at it. The AI slop is crap as normal 1 Quote
simonlittle Posted September 4 Posted September 4 At that price for an extra £150 it’d be far safer to buy a new one. If the seller was close and you could pick it up then okay, but zero feedback and that crazy low postage has got alarm bells written all over it. Those photos could be from anywhere… Quote
EliasMooseblaster Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Find a pretext to message them asking for another photo of a certain detail. If they can provide it then at least you know the bass exists... 1 Quote

Or I could be straight and say they have no feedback and the postage is too low - can I have a photo of the bass with a hand-written note so I know you have it. I'm tempted. Quote

kwmlondon Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Update: Well, the sale has fallen through. The guy selling said he could not find the case and didn't want to send it without but I got a full refund so I've not been scammed. I think he's either a flake or found out how much it'd cost to send the thing or both - the listing didn't even mention a case so he's not a very experienced seller. Anyway. It wasn't a scam. 2 Quote
EliasMooseblaster Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I wonder if he got a nasty shock at the post office counter! Glad you weren't ripped off, in any case*. *sorry, no pun intended 1 Quote

simonlittle Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Definitely sounds like an inexperienced seller. Glad you got your money back 👍 Quote
