The amp was pulled from a combo, so there isn’t really a case, as such! The heat sink should sort it. I don’t recall seeing a Trace combo with vent holes, and there’s no fan, so would assume it was designed to be fully enclosed. Equally happy cutting more holes if the experts think it worthwhile!

Interesting. I had a look and have seen items that I know for a fact are no longer available anywhere else as "available in 8 days" on their website. I wonder if they have a secret warehouse of unsold stock or if they're taking orders that they can't fulfil.
-
Oh yes - that's allowed! 🙂

Typically, the voltage of an alkkaline cell rebounds when taken off load quite fast, then it slows down over a longer period, so if you measure when they come out of the bass after a gig it may have gone up a bit by the next one. It doesn't really affect the capacity but can mean a battery you thought was flat can appear to work OK for a while. Obviously, over months/years they self-discharge which is a different effect.

People are allowed to protect their intellectual property and this includes schematic diagrams. If there is something "special" within that diagram sending out copies willy nilly means that anyone can clone that piece of 'special" rendering it worthless.

Make sure that the amplifier sleeve doesn't block any ventilation holes in the amp's case. You don't want the amp to overheat in use.

I brought this a couple of months ago and have never used it. I paid £35 for it, so grab yourself a bargain at £17. Postage will be on top or you are free to collect it from near Settle. North Yorkshire. Trades welcome for something interesting. A 59 Strat would be very interesting It's a Levin leather strap. One side is brown leather and the other side is suede so it doesn't slip. It's 154cm/59" long and can be shortened using slots at the back. Its 6.5cm/2.5" (ish) wide I have no idea how to describe the adjustment any better The middle bit The end adjustable bit The back of the end adjustable bit The other end (for the hard of understanding)

Hello, do you have any info on this tankard? I just found the exact same one at a thrift store for 4.49 and I can't find anything about it online except for this. Thanks!

simple multitrack recording software for Android
chris667 replied to mcnach's topic in General Discussion
The problem with usb audio interface support for Android is gloriously inconsistent support for supposedly class compliant devices and latency. It varies so much from device to device that you can't recommend anything unless you have exactly the same phone and device as the person who you're recommending something to. I know this isn't what you asked and they're unfashionable now, but my little Tascam DP-006 multitrack is the single best piece of music technology I've ever owned. Two mics which are far better than anything you'll get on a phone and two line inputs in a device the size of a paperback book. Zero latency and it always just works exactly as intended. I copy things that I'm learning into it and jam along. Or if I want to do something more technical I can export the tracks to a DAW. It really is so much more straightforward than a phone and there are fewer cables. Simple to use, but not more simple. They go for about £40 secondhand at pawn shops now. The older DP-004 is exectly the same thing but it has two fewer tracks. -
I commuted three or four times a week from Birmingham to uni in London for three years, with my bass in a gig bag and assorted other stuff. I've even traveled several times with a double bass. I've honestly, never had an issue.

I'll be wearing some sort of shoes and pants on the train... As for making space on the train, if the trews don't do it the after effects of my baked beans, eggs and vinegar diet will. However, I'm in Blackpool for the entire 4 days of Rebellion, and as everybody knows, punk is just one bit fashion show which means new outfits at least every day. So that's the Sparklebutt silver spangly kecks with the biker boots, the zebra kecks and matching creepers, the snakeskin kecks with leopard print creepers, the Indian Project zips'n'pockets comfy strides (3 pairs in different colours) with co-ordinated 5-10 approach boots and offensive t-shirts to match. I feel I may have to bring a servant/dresser as well.

I also failed to take in to account the rivets holding the transformer to the chassis, so I’ll just have to make a crash case. No biggy, it’s all learning. Mrs Turgh says I seem happiest when I’m cutting wood! 😂 Tip that I discovered (but is probably widely known): the circular saw wasn’t flowing as I’d like, so I rubbed a candle on the bottom and side of the guide rail - now it glides along! Wood cut for the cab. Will pop to B&Q later for another sheet for the baffle and the 2nd anttempt amp sleeve.

That would ensure he gets a very large personal space around him. Solves two problems in one. I applaud your ingenuity

Any suggestions for the matt finish, brands that work please? I didn't know that 2000 grade wet and dry would matt a shiny surface down. That's good to know I'll not spray outside now 😊

I've never felt the need to measure but the action on this Dean Exotica was so high that I could slip a pencil between the strings and the fretboard at the 12th fret. Put on a set of D'Addario black tapewounds and voila!

Any areas that are shiny can be restored back to a matt finish by using very fine wet & dry paper (2000 grade). You wont see any scratches, especially if you use the paper dipped first in weak soapy water and keep the surface moist while working.
