  2. Cheers. Fingers crossed 🤞
  3. Cheers
  4. Great, but's very much the impression I got from some of the posts in this thread. I suppose another advantage of doing originals charity gigs is that they are nearly always at established venues with in-house PA and lighting rigs so all the bands need to do is to turn up and play.
  5. Four pedals up for grabs after the purchase of a Darkglass Anagram. Will take individual images later and edit to suit. Will be sad to see them all go but enjoying and unable to return my Anagram and determined to make it work... All pedals conveniently pre-velcro'd 😉 All prices plus £5 shipping or happy to drop off locally Tonehammer DI Mk1 - £160 Fantastic preamp/DI that can do tubey amp sim style stuff or clean and uncoloured. Good Condition - no box or PSU and screw for battery compartment missing but neatly taped up. Line6 HX ONE - £160 Excellent swiss army knife pedal with sounds taken directly from the Helix (has a fantastic noble model). Incredibly well thought out control set with really handy flux FS. Like new condition with box and PSU etc Jam Bass Rattler MK2 - £160 Rat clone for bass with excellent clean blend and second gain boost F/S. My favourite analogue drive pedal, covers everything from low gain dirt and saturation to fuzzy madness Like new condition with box and box candy Source Audio Ultrawave Bass - £130 Fantastic digital utility and sdistortion swiss army knife - billed by SA as a mad distortion machine but it's so much more! Fantastic studio level compressor, Graphic and parametric EQ, dual channels, every flavour of drive/distortion available as well as radge tremelo stuff which I never used. My favourite digital standalone pedal, I used it for a lovely tube drive aswell as a radge gated fuzz and slight low mid boost all on seperate presets accessible via toggle switch or opens up massively with a £30 M-Vave chocolate+ controller. Like new condition with box and PSU etc Pedaltrain Nano Max - £50 Single row pedaltrain which can handle 7-8 pedals. Lightweight and excellent quality. Excellent condition with high quality gig bag and strategically placed cable tie holders underneith.
  6. I can honestly say that despite being in a 'covers' band I've never done a charity related gig where that has been the case.
  7. Hello all! Selling my EBS Microbass 3. Never gigged and only ever kept at home with some incidental use. Bought new last year so still has all original packaging and contents. Still in full working order! Asking Price: £200 Collection from NW London preferred but happy to ship at additional cost. DM if you have any questions!
  8. Hello! Selling the Sadowsky Onboard Preamp I had fitted to my Fender Jazz Bass. Price: £85. No technical faults with it. Only replaced as I wanted to try something different. The preamp doesn’t come with the 9v battery fitting or input jack as the luthier that fitted my new pre amp carried these over. Hence the reduced cost despite being otherwise in as new condition. Collection from NW London preferred. Courier can be organised for additional cost. Original box included however if it’s being shipped, I can ship in the replacement preamp box as it has better protective padding (pictured). DM with any questions!
  9. Not sure at that pitch you would hear the difference!
  10. TC Electronic RH450 class D amp head. 450w with FX loop, built in Spectracomp compressor & tubetone adjustable tube amp drive, 4 band EQ & 3 programmable EQ presets. Comes with a padded TC Electronic amp bag - absolutely fantastic amp, very loud (450w RMS, 800w peak) Bulletproof outer casing, carry handle, DI - anything you could need from an amp as a gigging bassist tbf The only issue is the same issue everyone has with these - the knobs have fallen off the stalks. Still all works as it should, and you can turn the stalks just as easily as the knobs, and as its digital display you can always see where it is turned to - been like this since I bought the amp and it’s never bothered me so I didn’t replace them. The missing knobs factored into the price, other than that it’s an amazing amp (especially for the money) that’ll do almost all but the biggest gigs. £140 collected from DH2 Co Durham or £150 posted
  11. I cut my time on those platforms and focused on one place that felt manageable. Posting less but with clearer updates actually got me more replies and stopped the burnout.
  12. This is becoming a habit! Happy new year to a trusted Basschatter…
  13. Another peerless transaction with a leading Basschatter! Thanks Gary. Always a pleasure.
  14. Hi guys Just a heads up for those who don’t know about https://www.mormusic.com/repairs/ Phil travels around in his van picking up repairs and custom jobs all over the place and is well worth a look. Very easy, no hassle and a brilliant service (normally under a week). We just had a chat about music retail generally. Mad to hear that he makes more money setting up a fender bass than by selling one these days. Get in touch with him if you have anything that needs fixing or customising. This is not a paid endorsement!!
  15. Use a guitar instead, they are without any value and by covering it in blood and intestines no one will want to play it, which is an ideal scenario
  16. Most Gibsons issued in 2024 had a "120th Anniversary" inlay at the 12th fret... Not the anniversary of a manufacturer, but there is the 20th Anniversary Epiphone Jack Casady...
  17. Out of the running, and also dead 🤦‍♂️
  18. Superb bass. I've played this actual bass and it has a superb neck. Pick ups are very nice and even across the poles too. From what i've read they are manufactured by Seymour Duncan for Godin. They do have a very nice warm, deep Fender type tone. I bought his other Godin which i'm currently gigging. Stevie is a top guy and anyone buying this is getting a fantastic bass at a great price. GLWTS Stevie Dave
  19. @Pea Turgh Thats kind of you. At the moment, I'm just wondering it it makes any significant difference for the better to put them on top of something. I have a recollection that somebody said they should be on the floor in a corner but can't find the comment. If I had the "top hat", I'd still have to fashion something to attach to the tripod. Yet another adapter Hold off for the moment please. Rob
  20. Schroeder 1212L (The L being ‘Lightweight’) 2 x 12 Neodymium Cab with Tweeter. 800 watts @ 4 ohms and 19.5kg this is a one hand lift one can solution for any gig. It has the second 12” cab at an angle behind the first so it’s much smaller than most 2x12’s These cabs are fantastic, and shine in the mix of a live band - for more on this Mark from Talking Bass wrote a piece on his experience using a Schroeder 1212L on his website https://www.talkingbass.net/schroeder-1212-cabinet/ It has a Schroeder padded cover, the cab is in good condition - there’s a few nicks in the paint where it’s been scuffed carrying it but I’ve reflected it in the price, it’s definitely not had a hard life at all and I’ve never even come close to testing how loud it actually goes, which is mainly why I’m selling it - I rarely use amps & cabs and when I do I need sub 500w and space is a premium so I want a 1x10 or 1x12 max. Stats below 👇 Drivers - Two 12” Custom Neodymium Woofer Horn - 200 Watts Heavy Duty Titanium Bullet Tweeter Inputs - Dual Speakon In/Out Frequency Response - 35 Hz - 20 kHz Impedance - 4 or 8 Ohm Watts - 800 Watts Rms Maximum Decibels - 103 dB Spl@ 1W/1M Weight - 43 lbs. Dimensions - 23.5”W x 23.5”H x 15”D Price is £295 - a decent reduction on what I paid basically to account for a few nicks at the edge on the paint, it’s basically been used for practice by me for the last 18 months, the odd gig, it’s got tonnes of life left Shipping can be arranged although it would prefer to avoid if possible, I imagine it’ll be about £30 or so. If you come to collect I’d be happy to drive a bit and meet you if you were coming a fair distance to make it easier for you, or ideally come pick it up (Chester le St DH2) and play through it first (I’m selling my amp too tho so if that’s gone you might have to bring your head!)

    SEI bass

    Yummy! With a D tuner for E?
  22. Yeah I get that, certainly less pressure my way, learning 12 when given 3 than being given 10 to start with. But being given 10 can be a good way of looking at both the commitment of the auditionee, and their ability, if given a fairly wide range of material. I think the most I’ve been given for an audition was 6, tho was 15 years ago so could have been more.
  23. Shortscale? J neck? Gloriously pink? Thank the big man that it's active or else I might have been struck down with serious GAS! Great score, enjoy
  24. I changed my PBass bridge to the Gotoh 201B-4 and it’s a step up in quality The Mexican Fender Player II has a very low quality standard bridge, in fact the new standard range PBass from Indonesia has a decent bridge so I left it stock I’ve had HiMass and they are too bulky and the Gotoh is a perfect upgrade and swop. Better saddles, screws and no sideways movement which was a reason to change too
  25. Something to consume by Die Spitz. Seamlessly blending stoner metal and punk. Absolutely brilliant. They've got some thoroughly disgusting bass tones. The band members are all multi instrumentalists and regularly swap instruments so theres various playing styles going on with each instrument.
