  1. Past hour
  2. As I said, this is an old clip done on v3. V4 has hugely improved tracking by comparison, and also has the ability to switch tracking priority modes. There are further improvements in the pipeline too. Octaves will always present a problem to any pitch-detection system as an octave above the fundamental (2nd harmonic) is always strongly present in most real-world instruments.
  3. Town called Malice ! Great bass line
  4. Football hitting a sheep, love it!
  5. I wanted a Metroline with a vintage body and a 24 fret neck. They didn’t do this in left handed so it had to be a custom order. At the time they quoted a timescale just over three years. I’d expected to receive the bass in February and it finally arrived in July. I ordered through Wunjo who were superb throughout the entire process.
  6. Sweet home Alabama, dreams (fleet wood Mac version), Dakota, sanctuary it's only open mic night version, fortunately and fairly basic compared to you lot. Sadly available time for practice means only fairly simple songs
  7. How about £600 each or £1000 for the pair, I've better things I could be using the cash for at present 👍
  8. Dropped to £80 each.
  9. Just been given a set list with 22 songs I've never played. Nothing too hard though so should be OK. Shame, I was enjoying getting to grips with Aqualung (Jethro Tull). One of my most favoritest bass lines ever. Think it was Jerrfey Hammond Hammond who played it (and I don't think he was even a bass player) although happy to be corrected. Love when it kicks in around 2.20.
  10. Of all the Aggregators I have used over the past 15 years CD Baby are currently the cheapest with a $9.99 one off fee for an album and 9% of your streaming and download payments. The prices of all the Aggregator services have come down massively in recent years. When I first started using them it was about $50 for a one-off fee for an album and "singles" (which meant just one track) were only marginally cheaper. Whichever service you pick you want to make sure that it supports as many download and streaming sites as possible. While Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and YouTube are by far the biggest source of streams there are lots of others you might not have heard of, but they all contribute to the income from your songs.
  11. Awesome news, welcome to the dark side 🤣
  12. I owned an FI for a while. I wish I'd heard your clip before I bought it, because even though you played the song noticeably slower that the original, it can't keep up when playing those octave notes. I actually own them. He's used a combination of pedals to get those sounds, so each one is a scene. Even though I own the Helix (and the tracking is superb), I use it like bunch of stomp boxes (albeit with a 'hidden' Ampeg rig at the end of the chain). I need to hit one button and go. If I were to buy this MXR pedal, I'd probably only ever use one of the presets and stick to it.
  13. Padded Hotcover for MarkBass Std 410HF in good condition
  14. Thanks for all the responses so far. I wasn't even aware about the "free" distributors before now. (Or at least with a small fee or stream percentage as opposed to an upfront annual subscription like Distrokid etc). One of those plus Bandcamp for downloads would probably be the ideal solution for us. So we have Routnote and Soundrop. Any other recommendations?
  15. Great bass, GLWTS
  16. Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam
  17. Some buskers in Philly... Though the drummer is ex-Ornette Coleman, Jamaaladeen Tacuma and James Blood Ulmer sideman, Grant Calvin Weston!
  18. Government Hooker - Lady Gaga
  19. Possible yes, may be able to accommodate it in a batch of five at no extra charge.
  20. I would like a narrow nut SR4 neck for my Stingray Retro 76 (3 bolt plate)
  21. I met Dave Swift at the same Bass Bash and asked him about this. He said if he used a flat-wound B string it sounded ‘like a football hitting a sheep’! No-one has mentioned Dingwalls yet, so… Dingwalls. Most will be aware that they (and other fan-frets) overcome the common problem of indistinct B strings by using a different scale length for each string. I had a Super P (with 35in B) that did the 5-string Precision thing brilliantly. I only traded it because I discovered I liked the tightness of a 37in B.
  22. Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles
  23. My comment would be why you have two tone switches? You would have no tone cut with both off, the same tone cut if you have either of the switches on and double the cut if you put both on? If that is the effect you might as well have a centre off switch and do it all on one switch, rather than have the two redundant one on / one off modes?
