The values of the resistors don't matter, you don't want to use them. As mentioned a crossover splits the frequencies to highs and lows. That capacitor isn't a crossover, it's a high pass filter, a very poor one at that. TBH I wouldn't bother with the tweeter, unless for some reason you feel the need for it. A fifteen doesn't reach high enough to be used with a tweeter of that sort. If you want improved upper midrange/lower high frequency response and dispersion a sealed back 6.5 inch will work far better...with a real crossover, of course. You can find full specs on the woofer here. The page is in French, but that doesn't affect the T/S parameter abbreviations. https://petoindominique.fr/php/mysql_thiele_seul.php?hp=5054

The sell off continues; arthritis in my fingers Next up is my rig, Genz Benz Streamliner 600 and Barefaced 210S. This listing is for the Streamliner amp. Happy to talk about a deal if you want both items. It's in very good condition as I hope the pics testify, and in full working order. It has been used as my back line for a few years but you really wouldn't guess that from the overall great condition. I had a full service carried out a couple of years ago and the sticker for the place that did it is on the side of the amp as you can see in the pics. It will come with a kettle lead and a Gator carry case. If you ask me nicely I could add a Speakon cable too. All of this for £400 or very near offer please. Collection or meet up preferred. Slightly nervous about posting due to valves inside, but if you are happy to accept the risk this could be arranged at cost. Here are the pics:

Hey, just seen the reply. The Cali 76 comps are not as warm as other comps. If warmth is what you are after, rather than light drive etc then an optical comp is what I’d go for instead. They, by their nature (design) have a slower response and I find fatten up your bass tone in a very musical way. A favourite of mine is the Lusithand Alma comp (now on their Mk3 variant, all versions are great). You could go down the route of an optical comp and a light drive pedal to give a bit of hair if needed? As far as I can tell, the Origin Effects 76 bass comps are clearer sounding and know for being able to be very quick acting. If you wanted a bit of drive (when pushed) from one of those, the V1 run at 9V would be the one to go for. As another option, the Origin Effects DCX Bass is a lovely pedal for EQ and drive of varying amounts, but a higher cost compared to eg full sized Spark Booster.

Nice wee afternoon gig for us with the Glam band at Polmont Bowling Club. Sold Out too. To be fair it only holds 65 seated. 😂 Organiser was telling us they had a band in last night Sat and it was free entry but only 18 people turned up yet a Sun afternoon ticketed show and it sold out fast with many folks still asking for tickets after selling out. We have played it 3x before to be fair and it was full. Audience up for it from first song so that was great to see. Even the songs with no dancers we got a lot of applause and cheers at the end like Ziggy Stardust. Was very hot and sweaty even with my large fan. Left the house at 10:45am arriving 12 noon. Start time 3pm - 4pm then 4:30 to 5:45pm. Greggs sandwiches supplied too. All went well and home by 8pm via chippie. Used the Sandberg VM4 into Shure wireless and Keeley Comp then Handbox WB-100 and Barefaced 212 cab. Sounded very nice. Dave

Its a 4 string bridge too, with only 2 saddles, same for the pups. All you'd need to convert it to a 4 string is 2 saddles, 2 strings and 2 machine heads! Looks like an MDP creation to my eyes! -
congrats on getting your new Anagram! Like you, I find the amp blocks available enough for me. It’s really good!

I listened to the deluxe version of Frank Sinatra's Ring A Ding Ding! album twice this afternoon. The second CD is 69 minutes of absolute delight. Studio chatter, out takes, botched takes, Sinatra talking with the orchestra, Sinatra singing on his own and telling the orchestra they need to play at different tempos and where he went wrong. It's amazing that he tracked all the vocals for 13 songs over three days just prior to Christmas 1960 AND there were clearly versions of various tracks that were clearly in flux at the time of recording. Honestly, great stuff. -

Someone buy this please - I’d love it but have no use for it right now! Used to have the amp head version, the 120. Ran it into a 2x15 cab with EV’s, was never wanting for tone or volume. Given the seller’s location , this combo probably came from the same shop as mine, Kitchen’s in Leeds who were Acoustic distributors. Bump for a fabulous combo. GLWTS.

Thanks for that, however i’m not trying to replace the BB2, i’m looking for a smaller, compact setup for mainly home use so was looking at the One10T, but then saw this cab was FRFR and wondered if it would suit me better than a voiced cab. But looking at the goodwood it is significantly larger and at a tad under 20lbs it’s approx 5lb heavier than the One10T. That said i do like the FRFR approach soundwise. Things to consider and no rush. 🧐

I am properly envious of that, what a magical pairing. I could have seen Morphine at Reading ‘94 but I was wedged down the front to see CooShootCop and Rollins Band. And I didn’t know who they were at the time, alas. -
David / Phil, Many thanks for the input, it's much appreciated. I've attached images of both the driver and tweeter, my mistake it's not a Celestion but another Eminence. This time it looks like its an ME 15-2008, 8 ohms. A little quick digging and the TSPs are alleged to be : Qts 0.59, Vas 224 l,Qes 0.67 fs 46Hz. That's all I could find quickly. David, to answer the points you raised, no I hadn't used the Ashdown cabinet before I pulled it apart, except for a quick test when I bought it to make sure the drivers weren't blown. The wiring on the panel had been in part disconnected, and one jack socket had disappeared inside. most of the remaining wiring was left in situ so I maybe able to reconstruct hw it was wired given that there are three coloured wires, red, black and orange. The internal dimensions, as best I can measure them, of the old Ashdown cabinet are 55cm x45cm x38cm, which I make around 94L. Without removing the adhesive on the tweeter cap I can't see the value, regarding the resistor (or could it be two?) that looks like 10W 15 ohms. but an image check suggests it may actually be two resistors perhaps in series. I'm happy to remove the adhesive around the components if needed to see if I can actually identify the values, or even remove them and try to measure them as I have a meter that's alleged to measure capacitance. I do hope I'm not taking up too much of your time with all of this, as a child of the 50's repair and restore in engrained in my DNA. 😊 David

This. I've tried explaining to my bandmates that when the audience recognise a song, they get a little rush of serotonin (like solving a crossword clue or getting a zero in pointless!) Waddling out the riff or introducing every song both underestimates the intelligence of your audience and throws away such an easy way to help build appreciation.
