So you didn't prompt it to be country?
-
The TGI bags don't have much in the way of storage btw, just a slim pocket on the front which is more for cables and other small items. I'd be looking at the Pro Go or even better the Thomann one with the separate accessory bag. Like buying a Mono Tick but you get a free gigbag thrown in.
-
Yes, exactly correct.
-
Did you prompt to be country - Im amazed how much AI music output is deeply routed in country and country cliches. To me, AI seems to excel at country and soul - probably bringing out the bias of the music its had in it's training set.

Hey peeps, I'm afraid I'm out. SWMBO gleefully informed me that we are having a long weekend in Iceland, whcih tbh I have been wanting to do for a bit. So sorry to miss friends this year but hopefully see you all at the next one. Please do lots of pics.

Been a very interesting 24 hour journey for me. This thread (and thanks to the OP for starting it) prompted me to look into what the AI song-writing process involved, which I'd not done before. And as I commented earlier - it's scarily easy! I shared the song earlier on this thread, and also with a few close muso friends, who were very complimentary about the quality of the song. One mate, who's also a bass player and band leader of a covers band, rightly challenged me by asking: where's the "pride, value, wonderment" in using an AI song writing platform? He's 100% right that it would feel pretty shallow in itself, but as part of the full YT video which it inspired, well quite a surprising amount! It's probably the most creative thing I've done in a long while! Will be fun to see if we can play this well, live, at some point down the line!

Based on wot I own: If you're on a budget - TGI Extreme. Can't buy a better quality gigbag for the money. If you have loads of stuff - Gator Pro Go. I got all my cables, power supply, IEM setup, batteries etc in the main pocket, a 10" tablet in the dedcated inner pocket and my Fishman preamp in the top compartment. If you want a super premium but slim gigbag - TGI Ultimate. Not just an upmarket version of the Extreme, it's a superb gigbag and rock solid. I also have a Gator Pro Go X (now renamed to Transit) which is also good, possibly a little bit nicer than the TGI Extreme but unless you get it in a serious sale it isn't great VFM in comparison. It's pot luck what you get I think, a lot of shops still have older stock. I recently got another Extreme for my Parlour bass (classical guitar model) and it has the solid handle, was from Absolute Music despite them advertising the new one on their website and eBay store with stock pics. Agree it's nicer than the two piece version so might be worth asking.

Quite. The CGI should enhance the storyline, not be the whole film. AI in music should be there to do the same. Improve, not replace.

I paid my balance in full shortly after placing my order, just so I knew that it was all taken care of (otherwise I'd fritter the cash away on sweeties!! Hahaha)

Here is a Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeller pedal with power supply. This pedal has a very large library of effects and parameters, a looper, tuner etc etc I'm surprised it doesn't do the washing up. Too many things to list but a quick link to the manual(s) is here - https://line6.com/support/manuals/m13/ Also comes with a slightly tatty but perfectly usable Stagg pedalboard case. Collection preferred from near Axminster, although I do travel around the UK a lot so could easily bring it along to a gig for a meet up

I've never taken mine to a gig but I use a QSC wedge to practice at home. The old wooden floors could scratch the bottom of the wedge and they also vibrate. It's great.
-
Hi all, I need a pickguard making with a slightly non standard route. Nothing too crazy, just one cut different and in a plain black/white/black. Where is good these days? I know you can get a pickguard for £10 or spend £250 so rather than waste 10 businesses' time by asking for quote I thought I would ask where has been good for you guys in the past. And how much they cost! Thanks Jack

That's a shame, can't flip it on eBay as "ex Searchers vintage Japanese Aria bass" now!

I’ve re-read this and it might be confusing - what I mean is, the cross-section area of the square port should be the same as for the cylindrical port, and the length of the square port should be the same as the length of the cylindrical port. As I understand it the straightforward calculation for port dimensions assumes that the inside end of the port is in free space inside the cabinet, not next to the cabinet wall, so that’s why calculating the right size for an end slot (or triangular corner port, etc) isn’t so easy.

I only have a few minutes to dabble today... all i can say is this does live up to my expectations, and maybe exceeds them! I really like it, but then i suppose i've always fallen for influencer hype...

From my experience, there are two brothers who take the telephone calls. One is really personable, and apologises for the delays, explaining about the massive orders they received during lockdown. The other brother has no hesitation in lying to you, saying he has your order details in front of him, and gives you information which turns out yo be completely false. Very frustrating - and is the reason why I will be selling my Jaydee Series 1 as soon as i receive it.

Within music (or other arts) I have no interest at all in AI content. It's pointless oxymoron, that try my upmost to avoid. I find it ultimately boring. There's no 'story' so to speak about the creative journey, bar a few prompt words. I've got to the point where I'm bored rigid of nearly every movie being a CGI fest, so AI has no chance. 🙂 AI is able to step in because unfortunately creativity is being discarded in so many areas. Music, a lot of uninspiring dull generic output. Movies, constant remakes and sequel franchises. I'm off to my cave, cheerio.
