  2. I do my best mate ๐Ÿ‘
  3. Itโ€™s got the mojo for sure ๐Ÿ‘ Youโ€™re a bad influence.
  4. Also helped that @knicknacks drummer was really good! I agree with what youโ€™ve been saying @Al Krow - what this Mxr seems to have nailed is ease of use and accessibility- ild love to try one!
  5. You know what, I'm really fed up by this forum where people post without reading and start getting aggressive when you simply make them noticing it.
  6. I wish they still made Topps Scratch Cover. That stuff is magic and I'm down to my last few drops...
  7. I read it was.
  8. OK you win Pedant of the Year 2025. Congratulations! You win a place on my ignore list.
  9. No idea, possibly.
  10. Over fifty years old, this is the complete Geddy Lee bass part to the first tune on the first album, Rush (1974). 'Finding My Way'. I was a massive fan for years (they lost me at 'Power Windows' but I have enjoyed a lot of what they have done since and have a massive soft spot for them) https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/finding-my-way-rush/
  11. Saw this and thought of you Dan ๐Ÿ™‚ https://ebay.us/m/udAHJX Not original, might not be kosher, but looks nice ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  12. The OP already owns a double bass @Stub Mandrel. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. I owned a Hohner B2A that was fretless. I think it had been defretted. It was OK. The pickups were really good. Very easy to play. I didn't indulge in too much sliding. But overall, it was a good bass. I sold it, and a Peavey Basic 60 combo for stupid cheap money. But that was over 30 years ago and everyone wanted more retro gear that fitted the Britpop fad.
  14. One of the best that I played was a Squier Pro Tone Precision Bass V. Despite the soapbars...
  15. Hiya Nice bag, would you accept a stingy ยฃ150 please.
  16. Next time place a bag of chips on the car 2 down from yours and it'll be fine. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜Ž Dave
  17. I've been meaning to update this thread for sometime, now that I'm 2 bands, 2 recording sessions, and several gigs in. I think I'm getting the hang of it. A while ago I took it back to the shop for a tweak, which was the only time I have asked for a string to be raised to make it easier to play! Most gigs I just DI and it has always sounded great FOH. In the studio I leave it up to the producer and BL. I've said from the outset near enough is good enough for me, in terms of getting close to a DB tone. The sound I get works perfectly for the bands I'm playing in, one being Americana, the other a Post Modern Jukebox type style. I've also been having fun with a bow, many thanks for help and advice from Nick's @NickA @NickD ๐Ÿ˜Ž The major issues for me are the weight of the stand, and the case not being fit for purpose - lack of protection and uncomfortable to carry, although some tinkering by @Happy Jack made it bearable.
  18. Vanderkley 112EXT for Sale. 300 watts 1 x 12" speaker 8 ohms with Roqsolid cover. Great punchy sound and in very good condition. Collection only from Guildford area.
  19. I have one of these and itโ€™s very good. I donโ€™t fiddle with the controls much, tending to leave it in passive mode in the usual 60:40 jazz pup mix but I do like the string spacing
  20. Itโ€™s a db bass cab. I have two and they sound great, nice and light as well. Unfortunately I think the pandemic finished the company off.
  21. Twisted - Skunk Anansie
  22. Cheers for the GAS Chris, I wonder if fretless sales will be up this week? So, if I get a 5 string fretless P Bass Iโ€™ll cross off 3 areas of occasional GAS itches that Iโ€™m currently missing ๐Ÿค”
