As an ex-400+ owner I'm going to have to check this out!!

She's been playing since a few years now and all her videos are on YouTube. IIRC her father is a musician too. 😉 She's quite amazing for sure!

Do you have any Torx bits? Maybe one of them might be a snug fit. Will have a look at mine. If the action is near enough etc, As a 'try' place a bit of tin foil, thin thick or folded, and try the 5mm to see how it feels, then try an un-do first, then nip up.

I found open one made by Alpha, specifically for guitar and effects that should do the trick. -
The same ICEPower module used in all of the other Subway 800 watt models, but they all use different control algorithms for managing overdrive, therefore they all feel differently.

You sir are a scamp! -
The Beatles (as a group and as individuals) did massive amount to support musicians from all cultures. I think they were widely liked and respected. (Although Lennon was apparently quite a challenging character.) My brother and I watched Live and Let Die today. Probably the best Bond film and certainly the best soundtrack, but some questionable portrayals of different cultures.

I'm not convinced it was ever a 4mm. As I expected, 4mm first even touch the sides. The 5mm engages but isn't quite snug and I don't want to put any torque on it really. But it does look a little abused on really close inspection. Maybe it was a 5mm once. It's a B2A fretless with full inlays (looks fretted until you're up close), but I don't know its serial. Guess it is "uncivilised". Certainly the neck is like half a baseball bat.

All routed and slight comfort carve. Next stage will be black grain filler then Liberon Finishing Oil. Not sure whether to just fill the wenge or do the elm as well? I went with a 6.5 mm radius round-over for this one instead of the usual 12.7mm. I think I prefer the larger round-over bit rather than this one as it gives a thinner body overall

Thank you and yep, I trust you guys in the know to keep me right. I know double basses well, but these wee things are not my department. The info I included, as you’ll see, comes from Brian’s original listing + the opinion of a reputable vintage guitars trader here in Scotland, who was kind enough to drop me some knowledge. Basically, I think that Brian’s original valuation of £1500 reflects the value of this bass in terms of professional quality, but a bit of a mix and match between original features and later embellishments. Any less than that, I think it’s a great deal, but I know times are hard for musicians (probably for most people), otherwise I wouldn’t be selling.

The guitar features an original neck shape and Dinky-shaped body that the artist was particularly particular about, and the electric section is equipped with an Ultra Noiseless™ Vintage Jazz Bass® pickup and the latest preamp, inheriting the playability and sound quality of the previous model. In addition, a new feature not available in the previous model is the inclusion of a thin pickguard of approximately 1.0 mm sandwiched under the gold anodized pickguard of approximately 1.2 mm, which gives the same playing feel as a 3-ply pickguard while maintaining the same appearance.’ One of my Feedback links. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/137382-feedback-for-harry/#comment-1241408

Left handed Basses, especially Jazz basses. They are just the mirror image of the right handed ones but they look gross!
