Coincidentally, the guitarist that Mrs Zero and I are collaborating with for open mics has suggested One Way or Another, which Mrs Zero and I used to do in the old band (the stalking song). So I've been brushing up on that today.

I use one of them silicone rings. Does the job, never liked wearing a metal one, it always felt heavy.

Does anyone know which of these will fit the ZS10s? I would also like to try some foam ear buds to see if I can get a better bass response. It's OK at the moment but only when I really wedge them into my ears!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/SONICFOAM-Memory-Foam-Earbud-Tips-SF1-Black-5-8-6-5mm-See-chart/dp/B09L7CX9JD/

I did a comparison down at WoT's with my WB-100 and his R-400 and there really wasn't much difference between them. Think on hindsight the R-400 would've been the more practical option for me too. I had it in my head that the WB-100 would sound deeper or have more depth of tone but the R-400 had almost the same. Both great amps and i'd be happy to gig either one. The WB-100 is quite small for a full valve amp but its a good bit heavier than the R-400 but still a one handed lift. I'm gonna have a look at your pedals just out of curiosity. Always good to get feedback on gear from others. Cheers Pete Dave

Fender Jazz Bass 1965 L-series w/ ohsc €7.000
SurroundedByManatees posted a topic in Basses For Sale
Fender Jazz Bass 1965 Original L series Fender Jazz Bass from 1965 with an old nitro refinish. Possibly the original color was olympic white, as I can’t find a trace of another color in the cavities. The bass is all original, apart from the refinish. The decal is original too, though there has been some sanding around it, it seems. Probably to remove the dirt around it. All electronics and hardware function like they should. The neck is straight with a good functioning truss rod. The pickups are the original grey bottoms, which are undated. The pots date to week 12 1965. Overall condition is very good. There are small damages and usermarks around, but nothing shocking. Soundwise it’s one of the (if not the) best jazzes I’ve owned. The sound is warm, deep, clear, punchy… very nice. Thomastik flats are fitted; which are a perfect match. Especially through a nice tube amp; just lush. Playability is great too, a low action is not a problem. The neck has a nice worn in feel too it. Weight is 3,95kg on my kitchen scales. The original case is included, and it’s still sturdy and totally functional, though the toplayer of the logo is missinh. The original chrome pickup covers are included as well. This bass will possibly be withdrawn for sale if my '70 Competition Mustang sells first. Price for straight sale €7.000 Partial trades (lower value basses, guitars) are negotiable though. I'm not after anything specific at the moment.-

I've bought them from AliExpress for the last few years. Much cheaper than the name brands but seems to last just as well. Just find the fit on the Comply website and have a search.

I've got the sfx micro-Thumpinator on my board at the front of the chain, which takes out everything below 25Hz. So that is just frequencies that you can't actually hear, but you are ensuring that your amp doesn't have to deal with them (so more headroom) and that they are not causing any issues in the FOH PA system. I still have the mpulse, but don't get the chance to take it out often these days, instead using a Handbox R-400. The Mesa may be a slightly better amp, but the R-400 sounds very similar and is a much easier carry. However, it doesn't have the para EQ, but as compromises go - it's a pretty good one! I'm sure that the WB-100 sounds really nice, but it will inevitably be a bit less bullet proof than the R-400, might not be as responsive and won't be as easy to pack into a single car along with someone else's gear. Also, the R-400 will be easier to unload into the house at 2am, which at our age is definitely a factor! Personally, I prefer to boost the lo-mids and have a bit of a hi-mid cut. I've also got the Caveman pre / DI on my board, which has a baked in lo-mid bump and gives the option to the sound engineer to DI from there, with me knowing that it will sound great out front. It is all about managing what goes to FOH and making it as easy as possible for the sound engineer, while ensuring that they can't screw it up and I get the sound that I want. There are inevitably certain compromises to be made about weight / transporting gear, but that's all part of gigging, especially these days!

What other suppliers and brands did IEM-users find? I would like coloured foam inserts (just for fun) but I mainly need to know that the insert will fit the shaft of the ZS10s (4mm, apparently). Most of the ones I have found on eBay have a diameter of 4.5mm - will that extra half-millimetre cause a problem, or make no difference?

Yea not a easy task, love the comparison, save me 715 on the mantle...🍺 To you

Just found a deadspot on my Dingwall. I am annoyed.

Well, everything has a resonant frequency, the aim I guess is to push it to a beat where it doesn't interfere in a noticeable way with the frequencies you want to hear. -

Not having the spare cash for a pedalboard, enjoying having a non-work design project and also wanting something with a clip-on lid that I can throw in the front of a gig bag, I started working on my own little 3D printed 'pedalboard'. This is the first prototype. The eventual plan is to: Add a section to the left that houses the HX's wall wart and means the MIDI DIN isn't sticking out. Aiming for a Neutrik TRUE1 input for ease. Add cable management ties underneath Add some extra pockets to make accessing the power switches easier Have a clip-on/pin-on lid that means It is a sealed thing that can get placed in a bag when travelling around. Hey peeps, Looking to pick up a phaser. Wondered if anyone has used both and could compare. Rather big price difference. I first heard Derrick hodge use a phaser (mxr phase 90 variant) which caught my attention. I then heard Jonathan Maron demo the Aguilar grape phaser and was wondering if it was just his amazing playing with the pedal or the pedal itself. cheers
