I did see the Lewis Capaldi set. I don't like or dislike his material, but he always seems a decent sort. I saw it the last time he played Glastonbury, when he had problems. Excellent that he's back and great to see the crowd get behind him. Being a bit soppy, it rather lovely all said.

Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.

This is a head chart. It contains only the melody and the chords. Everything else, you are expected to know e.g. how to play a walking bass line over those changes (chord sequence), how to voice the chords on a piano or guitar, how to solo over those changes, what chords and scales work, how to start the tune, how to end it etc. My charts tell you exactly what was played on a recording. These head charts are as much an aide memoir as anything and are a guide to get you all working together on the same tune. They are useless if you don't know what is required of you. https://images.app.goo.gl/ftUV6PMZp2r4f8cH6

Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam

AlexDelores started following Mint Car - The Cure
-
Any big ‘Cure’ fans here… We’ve got to perform ‘Mint Car’ as a first dance in a few weeks. Just going over the lyrics in the background to get them good and familiar… After the first chorus, there’s a random bit of vocal ‘waffle’. Google tells me he says ‘Slinky as raccoons in the roof’ Can anyone confirm this? I’ll be honest, i probably won’t sing that bit anyway, but, surely, just surely, it can’t actually say that can it? 😅

Big nostalgia marketing fest now. Simon Reynolds had this all nailed back in 2012.

I don't think it was a strong on telly as it was in other years, and some acts really weren't great, but there was enough as a viewer at home to see that you probably could like and you can look through them as you choose. It is obviously very different to being there, as there is a lot you won't see when you are at home, which is what makes the festival and there was enough outrage for people in the meaja to rant about for a week until some actual news turns up, so everyone should be happy. And I am happy that after the week, we finally get the A37 past Pilton back!

Right. I’ve said it before and now I mean it. No more 5 strings! Something shiny takes my fancy and it never works out for me so my very sexy metallic green Sire must go. Bought off of the wonderful @lee650 last year. It’s near mint. Plays beautifully and not been gigged by me. there’s no hardcase but it does have a bag and I can ship or deliver. £450 all in. Treat yourself!

Exactly, we did it this year without watching any of the presenters, just used iPlayer to watch the bands, as live as we could
-
Just don't watch or listen to the media, watch the acts and either enjoy them or don't, that's as deep as it goes for me. Maybe I'm becoming like our own member Douglas Dad3353 as the years go by, maybe I'll plant some radishes.
