  2. Hi chaps! I'll be playing these two amps next week but first I'd like to get some thoughts about them. Pros & cons pls. Any advice will be appreciated.
  3. Maybe Yes, Maybe No - Les Spécialistes
  4. Can you name any preamp pedals that don’t behave in the same way though? Everything I’ve owned has worked this way, from Darkglass, Aguilar, Tech21, etc. The only time I expect a volume control to not affect my DI is on my amp, in case I want to change my stage volume without upsetting the levels going to the desk. But with a preamp pedal, the master volume is really there to balance the gain control so you can adjust the pedal to unity gain.
  5. Bought a HB bass body and neck from me. Smooth transaction, highly recommend basschatter.
  6. Yet another positive comment, bought an MM pickup and preamp from me. Effortless transaction.
  7. Removed from another project bass I was making. I bought this new. This is a clean and clear Glockenklang preamp. It’s in full working order. https://www.glockenklang.de/en/products/bass_systems/onboard_2-band.htm Volume, Balance, Treble and Bass controls with passive tone circuit activated from Push/Pull volume control. Specs from the Glockenklang website: ‘Onboard preamp 2-band The GLOCKENKLANG 2-band onboard preamp is active/passive switchable (at the volume push/pull), has a balance-pot with no volume dip in center-position, a treble-pot with +/- 18 dB@18 KHz in active mode, acting as classical highcut in passive mode and a bass-pot with +/- 14 dB@40 Hz. Battery-connection is 9 / 18 volts. Due to the high performance electronic, in flat position of the eq you can hear no difference between active and passive mode! It comes pre-wired with highflexible cables.‘ £69 plus shipping. Pete
  8. Hey all Bought for a bass that I sold, so never used these. DR Pure Blues 45-130. &nbsp £35 shipped in the UK. Pete
  9. Morning all Up for sale is a set of Squier '77 VMJ pickups. Working perfectly and sound great; I used the bass I got them in for a different build project, so no longer need these. They even come with spring loaded foam, a nice touch. Easy to use for a bitsa build. I'm selling for £27 plus postage. Pete
  10. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  11. Whereabouts in Warwickshire ?
  12. Might buy it just for the weight!! 😂
  13. well, yes it is a beauty - it's a good question though regarding B-G tuning I wouldn't want to put anyone off here, but I don't think it wouldn't be a straightforward matter of just putting different strings on, I think it would need to be looked at by someone who knows what they're doing. The nut would definitely need altering or replacing. I think the type of B would need consideration too - might need a taper style to fit the bridge and might need lower tension possibly to limit the stress on the next (which I don't think has any carbon reinforcement or the like) That's just my initial thoughts, if stringing it B-G is a deal breaker though then I would revise my answer to 'yeah, no worries, it'll all be fine!' 🙂
  14. I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.
  15. And a video of my first song with the guys. VID-20250727-WA0006.mp4

  17. Sounds like a break is exactly what you need. Then maybe hire a rehearsal space with lits oftime and no pressure to set up the whole pa from scratch... everything set to defaults before you start.
  18. And allowing pubs to spill put into the street in city centres is one thing, but in an area where there is housing, without the landlord being expected to control rowdy behaviour is another. Having people eating, drinking and talking all week outside your front door is one thing. Having people shouting and swearing is another. Again, it's about what is reasonably expected.
  19. Give me a shout if you haven’t indulged
  20. It's a case of the level of noise that is reasonably expected. If I moved next to a pub that played music, I'd expect music at certain times of the week and at a certain level. Bands are getting louder and venues are staying open later. There are developers that do stupid things like build retirement flats next to music venues, that kind of thing should be thrown back to the developers to fix. But we know developers vanish with regularity for a new company to spring up in their places. It's far more complex and nuanced than; buy a place near a pub and you should expect trouble and noise, just put up with it.
  21. My usual go to for Stingrays is teal, which I love as a colour on most things. However, given… I’d probably go with some sort of burgundy mist to contrast with the hardware.
  22. Back up for sale… 2023 RB Streamer LX5, carolena body, laminated maple neck, wenge fretboard, Just-a-nut, 3D bridge, active MEC pickups, 2 band active EQ, Warwick straplocks, Rockbag, truss rod tool.
