  2. For sale lovely birch green Fender player 2 i bought early this year and have recently been using this or P bass to see what fits what i'm doing and the P bass has won - for that middy growl. Have bought a Squire CV Jag as back up - so now this faces being an occasional bass and it's a great player, so should be someones to use. Made in Mexico these are now really good little basses. Great QC Had luthier contact sort the frets, which he levelled and ran glue under each to make sure they pinged and bevelled off the slightly rough edges, so now with the rolled edge finger board, satin finish, it is great to play. Dark rosewood board, with maple neck, the body colour looks even better IRL. Weighs about 8.5lb but balances great. So lightweight and versatile. Strung with new Ernie Ball Super Slinky 40-100 - very nice action. Very useable pickups. Comfortable bridge for palm muting. Priced to sell - collect from Clitheroe or meet up or can post to UK in box for £20
  3. I've got a busy weekend. 3 gigs with a Belgian black doom band, Svarthart, starting at The Victoria in Swindon tonight, The Victory in Hereford Saturday and Fuel in Cardiff on Sunday.
  4. My customer bass order has just been completed and here’s a little teaser while I wait for it to arrive next week. 😁
  5. £400 to you as its Black Friday (whatever that is!)
  6. Very recently picked up from BassBros but got a another 5 at the same time and only need one. excellent condition (actually can’t find a mark on it) and working perfectly as you’d expect. any questions message me!
  7. I’ve had a large tin of tuff cab ( black satin) open for about 5 years and have used it on 2 speaker cabs, several rack cases and 2 large stage risers and it’s still going. I just give it a stir to even out the consistency before use. It’s the best durable professional finish I’ve ever achieved on my projects. It does seem hard to get at the moment though.
  8. Ive had numerous tks cabs including a pair of 1216s. Im just looking at these for my studio.
  9. Yamaha SLG100 Silent Guitar, steel string model in original case. Nice condition, fully working. If you're looking at this you probably know what it is, but just in cae.... Silent Guitar breaks down into a very small, convenient carry case. 9v Battery powered, has mains adaptor input too but no power supply included (or needed really, batteries last ages). Headphone output, with volume and tone controls plus 2 reverb settings. Aux input so you can play along to your fave tunes, all without disturbing the family while they watch Strictly. Perfect for hotel room practice while touring. Could be open to sensible offers. Can ship within UK only at buyers cost, (to be determined). Cost around £500 new. Thanks for looking.
  10. Truly magnificent and rare in this finish!

  14. 😁 Stupidly, I momentarily assumed Belgium is only about 15 miles across... Which is a bit daft as I've driven from Dunkirk to Saarbrucken via Mons and Luxembourg many times!
  15. We've all had the same thoughts and come to similar conclusions which I find highly amusing. One other thing to add, the Aldcrofts paint (which I think is Tuff Cab) only has an unopened shelf life of six months. I worked out that doing two 8" cabs with three coats uses approx 1Kg, and the chances of me using it again is low, so its very expensive to paint two cabs. If I lived closer to people I'd happily pass tins along but unlikely to happen. I like the look of the Hammered Hammerite but thats not cheap either at circa £10 / 250ml. There is this site that tests how it works on different woods and it comes through with flying colours. They don't mention the primer they use though. https://patientgardener.co.uk/can-you-paint-hammerite-on-wood/ I have seen a suggestion of using an oil based primer for undercoat https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=93459 I think I'll head to Settle later and see what they have in my local DIY store. Hammered red might be interesting and if nothing more, I'll use the can on something. Rob
  16. Hi bud, are these still for sale? If so, are you OK with bank transfer for payment? Thanks, Ian

  18. Thanks a lot @Leonard Smalls, but Diksmuide is 300 kilometers away from home as I live at the opposite side if the country, otherwise I would have gone there (and I quite hate folk music too). Thanks a lot for the "invitation". That said Wednesday we saw, for the third time, Kyle Eastwood, in another genre, in Dudelange (Luxemburg). Excellent concert if you like jazz, especially post bebop music, and for that concert, it was dedicated to his father's film music (more 70's oriented).
  19. There must be an optimum elasticity of strap for this. A bit of R&D time would pay dividends.

  24. Just wanted to stop by to say that I bought a bass from Arnold some years back now, and you could not wish for a better seller to buy from. Highly recommended. GLWTS.
  25. There is a great album by Barre Phillips and Dave Holland as well as Holland's Emerald Years and Ones All.
  26. I may try it at the next open mic night.
