  6. Thanks for your answers so far. I'm positive that this is a 90s bass, serial number dates it to April 1995. It is a very cool one-off, with predominantly wenge neck, wide string spacing, black hardware, Bartolini PUPs and electronics and beautiful flame maple body wings. However, given the general consensus here (which agrees with my gut feeling about it), I think I shall pass on it
  7. IMHO the best 15" cabs ever made, assuming they're the EV loaded ones. Total bargain - GLWTS

  9. This would do better in the “items wanted” forum
  10. Also good tone on the gold top toy bass there
  11. Good point. OK, TC BAM200.
  12. Sold mine a few yeaes back , have a project where one is now needed. Will pay good and fair money and travel to collect. Based in derbyshire.
  13. I should also probably have mentioned that it comes with the GB Shuttle 4-button footswitch. And the soft cover.
  14. I go this about 11:30 last night... it's off a 20-year-old album. I have the freedom to be creative but will start by learning the original, now in a minute...
  15. Once upon a time it meant you were hanged. It's a bit more lenient now. If he commits another offence before the suspended sentence has expired, any offence, the suspended sentence can be activated and he gets banged up.
  16. I think this bit is the end of a boutique bass:
  17. And the earth wire…
  18. Welcome Dan, If you like shorties, you could do a LOT worse than check fellow member @Jabba_the_gut's Build Diaries. Here's one he did earlier - He has made a few very interesting instruments if you browse through the Diaries' sub-forum.
  19. Before realising this was an E.J. Tribb (17.5) masterpiece I thought it was a long lost verse of What a Waste. P.s. how do I get a 1/2 on my phone keypad? 😟
  20. Second hand prices do seem very low , that ACG on here seems crazy cheap to me but I guess they've never held their value like fenders etc Why do you think they're dead OP , I'd actually say people are a bit more open minded about them now than 20 years ago when they seemed particularly out of fashion
  21. Lovely bass tone, there. Fab stuff
  22. there's only 4 songs on that list that I haven't played but whether I could get away with them now............... The Wham! song has a great bassline but I've only ever sung it, so have no idea how to play it
  23. Boutique basses…..? Eights and aces…..? Losing money at the races…..? Big suitcases…..? Long shoelaces…..? Presidents with orange faces…..? E.J. Thribb (17½)
  24. Made in Italy combo 500w into 4ohms so about 300w through the combo itself. This is my backup amp but I don’t need anything more this powerful and I could use the space and money. I’m its third owner and I’ve used it on around 20 gigs and never got the master above about 9 o’clock. Previous owner said he only gigged a few times at low volume and its first owner only used it for a few church gigs so it’s had a pretty easy life. Full specs here, although it’s the current version which may not be exactly the same. But looks identical to me. https://www.markbass.it/product/cmd-102p/ £475 delivered to the UK, but would prefer collection or meet up in or around Hertfordshire or Essex. Obviously would cost a little less if no couriers are involved.
