    I really like the idea of having the small box on a stick at ear height. I wish a commercial manufacurer would build something like this- actually they may do, but I'm not aware of it. Can you post pics when the build is complete?

    Back in the 80s I would view the big powerful Trace Elliot heads as the true Rolls Royce of bass amps. I view this as the modern day equivalent.

    NBD. A short-scale Squier Jaguar, purchased from our own @Ian Somerville at the lovely Trowell Services on the M1. After giving my HB shorty P to a charity I’d been looking for a backup to my Fender Mustang. Plus, I’ve never had a red bass before.

    In good working order, features include fan-cooled fast-transient power stage, 12" Speaker, a fully-featured bass preamplifier with inputs for both active and passive instruments, a 'VU style' LED input level meter, 5 band EQ with Bright and Deep switches, a front panel-mounted balanced DI output for connection to a PA or recording console, an FX loop, a tuner/line output and the classic Ashdown sub-harmonic generator.     Yes. It's all working and as it should be. Everything is stock: 19mm spacing at bridge, the string spacing/positioning at nut and bridge is how Lakland (and many other manufacturers) do it - the G is slightly closer to the edge of the fretboard than the E is.
