  2. Top nick. 91% battery. Kept in a hard shell case. I can do pictures if you really want Fresh install when the time comes. Fancy it, you know you do. Are you worth it? You are so worth it. When Apple introduced the M1, it included 16 billion transistors, just above the 15.8 billion used in the A15 Bionic chip. For the new chips, Apple decided to take advantage of the size benefits and think bigger. The M1 Pro is a chip with 33.7 billion transistors, more than double the original's count.
  3. If you want to charge vintage money for a bass then you provide history, pics and everything g you can for provenance. It’s not as if Fenders are hard to take apart! No hex keys, sealed bits etc.
  4. This is a clone of the original MM 2 band pre-amp.
  5. Think i will stick with my £35 Lekatos for a while yet! To be fair, I have now done 5 gigs and 5 practices with them and no issues at all.
  6. Normally I go every few years, have decided to leave it for the next 4, for some reason!
  7. I always think about The Who that if they came out today with that same music they would be feted as the hippest new indie band on the scene. Their music hasn't aged, and equally guitar- orientated rock music is still in the thrall of bands from that era. Those classic Who records are still incredibly modern and current-sounding.
  8. Sailing - Sutherland Bros
  9. Sorry, I am like a cracked record here. It is a flightcase. There is no need to pack it. Let the couriers do their worst. Let them see it as a challenge. It will hurt them more than it will hurt the flightcase.
  10. I had a similar problem with a stingray special. It turned out that all pp3s don't have identical dimensions. The RS own brand fitted in the battery holder fine but didn't quite make contact. Intermittent enough to keep me guessing!
  11. Sadly I have not had time to check the finish/damage at the rear, but the large specs of dust can be wiped away.
  12. When asked to list my hobbies, I include "Collecting projects".
  13. The Riverboat Song - Ocean Colour Scene
  14. Gone Fishing - Bing & Satch
  15. Hooks In You - Marillion
  16. Just ordered some acetone to start stripping the finish - The look I really want to go for I think is like the black Gewa Rockabilly ... so a violin-burst in satin black. Something that will hide some of the old girl's battle damage but still allow her to look old and funky. My thoughts are to use a NGR (non grain raising - alcohol based) black stain on the stripped wood ... bursting out to near pitch black at the edges and allowing the centre of each panel to 'pop' slightly. My intention is probably then to use Tru-Oil top coat with multipole wipe on layers to build up a satin sheen - finishing off with a flatting grey Merlon abrasive pads and a wax polish.
  17. Hanging Around - The Stranglers
  18. Thank you all for your contributions. I've rarely depped and only for friends. I was part of a house band for an openmic/jam session and just about coped but the idea of busking a set is just too scary for me this is definitely about findng how the other half see it. So I'll make sure I have up to date charts before I start looking and have everything else ready. We always play as per the originals apart from faded endings, key changes are few and always flagged up. We do have 40+ songs for the dep to choose from and to be honest four chords cover most of our songs so in that sense it isn't too difficult to cover most of our set. I think if we phrase any ads right we should be able to sort the enthusiast for new songs from those who are balancing the cash with the amount of work. Most of you here seem to be working for a share of the pot rather than having a fixed fee which is pretty encouraging. Not denigrating those who play for a living and have to consider the cash, let's face it few of us 'earn' the living wage from this so good luck to those few that do. We just can't afford that sort of level of expense. The biggest issue left is avoiding some of the gutarists who've offered to dep in the past who just don't have the skills or experience. I've met @tauzero's seven bar guitarist rather him than the ones who stop 7/8ths through a bar
  19. That’d be some awful cake with those ingredients.
  20. John bought a tablet from me. Totally hassle-free experience. Great comms, great BCer
  21. 1. Keep the ones that you can't imagine yourself being without, or which you love the sound of. (In my own personal case, I keep the ones that earn me money. Everything beyond my core 6-7 is up for grabs.) 2. I currently have 9 basses stored in a very small music room/extension. Nae problem. 3. The Spectorcore might be a little on the soft side for metal material, but with that bity EMG, will probably hold its own in the average rock band. 4. Nah. You're just a bass player who wants to be fully equipped. Nothing wrong with that.

  24. We are all here together to enjoy these beautiful instruments. Would never want to be dishonest about a bass. I do think the neck is fixable, and as it sits now the action could go a bit higher which might sort it out. If I had the time I'd get it looked at, but 2 year old twins and hobbies don't mix.
