  2. Following intensive research, the MM humbucker likes a preamp 😂
  3. That's going to be a very cool bass.
  4. Where in Essex are you? What age is the cab and weight / dimensions, please? Would it co-exist with and Ashdown ABM evo 3? Sold my Genz Benz 410 due to weight and size mainly and am seeking something lighter and slightly smaller. Currently using GB 2x12 Neo... MTIA!!
  5. Well, a MK2 edition would be most welcome, take what they've learned with the Plethora and apply it but unfortunately they haven't. Smells of resting on laurels to me - because the functionality it has would have been genuinely impressive 13 years ago. I still appreciate it for what it is, it's still super handy, and the Spectracomp in default guise is very useable. The Spectracomp Toneprint in the BH amp is the main reason I got a standalone Spectracomp for my pedalboard.
  6. 2010 US Stingray, 2EQ, CAR with rosewood board. One of the limited edition 133 basses, full fat ‘ray but with a soft gig bag case instead of a hard shell job. This is in excellent condition with one very minor ding on the top edge, and the pickguard is quite marked but obviously easily replaceable. Comes with a Hipshot D-tuner (long key though instead of short… doh), if you want the original tuner key I’ll chuck it in. I’ve also replaced the pickup with a Nordstrand MM4.2, which sounds flippin’ great. She’s quite heavy (10lb) but with a decent wide strap it feels ok. Loathe to post this but can at buyer’s (insured) expense, or can meet in person at either Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington (I’m on the I.O.W.)

  8. Another request; I don't know this band but it sounds like decent enough 80s Pop (although the album is from 1995). Italian band Dirotta Su Cuba featuring bassist Stefano De Donato on the tune 'Liberi Di Liberi Da'. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Liberi-Di-Liberi-Da-Stefano-De-Donato-Bass.pdf
  9. Tanglewood Elf, these come up second-hand in the classifieds occasionally. Or maybe a Uke bass?
  10. ...with a maxi headstock! I just like longer scale.
  11. I can now supply a 19mm clip for XLR.
  12. Would accept a near offer... and here is the rave review video referenced above: https://youtu.be/WYK5cL2zG2I?si=yuKJ0Ct9zK6qoXoV
  13. Thanks again 42hz! What I need to consider is that for convenience I already regularly use a couple of built in one-knob comps which are fine when fine will do. I've read good things about the default Spectracomp print, too, although I've also read some of the dumbest conceptualisations of compression on bass forums! That a fully configurable digital three-band compressor, accessible by USB and with an existing editing program, produced by one of the world's largest music equipment manufacturers, remains uneditable even after some 13 years on the market rather blows my mind. But a tiny head with built-in tuner and comp and which fits in a gig-bag pocket would be handy for those rare occasions I need more than just a little combo. I've been very tempted to write it off because of what to me is a glaring omission of functionality, but convenience is increasingly my primary concern as time goes on- even if it does mean having no idea what parameters are being affected by the single-dial operation. Thanks for checking, 42.
  14. As new still sealed in packs, 3 sets available £10.50 per set including postage. I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears the Eden's seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

  15. Reduced to £50. Kent Armstrong Bass Humbucker for a 4 string bass. Circa 1990 when I purchased new and still in excellent condition and virtually unmarked. It's been in two of my basses over the last 35 years and sounds great. I think these were handmade, add £7.00 for UK insured postage.

  16. MXR poly blue octave for sale, in perfect working order and excellent condition: one very small paint chip/scratch near top right hand corner. Velcro underneath, no box. An impressive amount of functionality including expression pedal input, 2 octaves down, 2 up plus fuzz and modulation if wanted. I'm keeping my boss oc-5 which suits my needs better so this is up for grabs. Collection welcome or UK insured postage for £8.00
  17. Why Don't We Do It In The Road ? - Beatles
  18. Very cool little thing, and they do come up for sale now and again on reverb
  19. Just in case anyone wants a similarity stunning looking bass. Ishibashi have a used CST from the same limited run. Check it out! The Euro CST models are inspired by the Woodstock, NY-based Spector Custom Shop and feature a new combination of tonewoods, electronics, and finishes never before seen on the Euro series. The Euro CST series is made of premium woods and features an impressive poplar burl top, a resonant European ash body, a three-piece North American maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard with laminated Avalon crown inlays. The bridge is made of a lightweight zinc-brass alloy for accurate and reliable intonation. Premium active EMG X-Series pickups provide the superior clarity, attack, and quiet operation that characterize the Spector sound. The condition shows that it has been used carefully with little signs of use. No problems with playing performance. There are no noticeable dents, and this is one that we can recommend to those who are considering a new one. Item Rank: B+: Some scratches, but no problems in normal use. Serial number: NB22317 Country of manufacture: Czech Republic Case: Gig Case Accessories: wrenches Weight: 3.53kg Truss Rod: No problem, rod is at 60 degrees to the left and right. 20. Excellent cabs these are.
  21. Traveler Guitar TB-4P Bass SBT – Thomann UK https://www.thomann.co.uk/traveler_guitar_tb_4p_bass_sbt.htm I travel a lot for work, and I've had one of these for years. They're built extremely tough and it's small enough that you can put it in overhead luggage on any commercial flight and no one blinks an eye. I love mine.
  22. Absolutely wonderful, beautiful tone and playing.
  23. On lead guitar last night with a pub covers band. The venue was a ginormous chain pub with a huge (but not separate) ‘function room’ area at the back. Sadly they had at some point walled off the stage to create a store room and somewhere to mount the biggest TV screen I have ever seen. I really wasn’t feeling it at first as I’d played with the band the previous night and could have done with a night in. Our sound check quickly cleared a table in front of one of the PA speakers, which didn’t bode well! But as soon as we started playing our first set there were people on the dance floor, and it just got busier as the night went on. By the end there were several people dancing on the tables, which fortunately seemed to have been constructed from scaffolding materials! The landlady was so happy with the band that she paid us an extra 20%.
  24. Don't forget to "mist" the atmosphere to avoid dust deposit.
