Several pickups for sale. I've owned all these from new. 1: Sandberg Black Label Precision Pickup. Taken from my Sandberg Lionel and then lived in a padded envelope ever since. New price on these is £120 (DV247 / Music Store) £55 including delivery. ________________________________________________ 2: Aguilar AG-4P Was in my bitsa P bass before I turned it into a Stingray! A very nice 1960s recreation. Photo to follow for this one. £65 including delivery. ______________________________________________ 3: Dimarzio Air Norton humbucker. F Spaced bridge position for guitar. Medium output with a very flat and even EQ curve. £45 inc delivery. _________________________________________ 4: Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Trembucker for guitar. Based on Billy Gibbon's Pearly Gates Les Paul. Like a PAF but with a little more output and a push in the mids. £65 inc delivery.

This is a double header gig with one of my current bands and a band I used to play in! Doing it for "charidy man" so hope to get as full a house as we can 👍 It takes place at The Blue Lamp, Aberdeen which for a 130 capacity venue way north of most of civilisation punches above its weight. Full Nexo / A&H PA and it won the "Best Venue" award in 2023 from the Parlimentary Jazz Awards for the UK!! Link

Clover basses. I don't think they are made anymore but some of the models looked quite cool. I was temped by the Xpression models back in the day when Bass Direct carried them. Don't think they go for much when they do come up. I don't actually know the history of the basses but before they stopped the general electronics and pickups seemed very familiar with Sandberg models and bore no resemblance to the earlier models.

2006 Fender Precision standard MIM in chrome red. All original except 3 string tree to solve the A string noise issue and a Fender high mass bridge. Its in great condition and plays & sounds great. It'll come with the original white pick guard as well as this black one. Also keen for a swap. I just fancy a change really.

First “real” bass was a 73 Fender Jazz with Roto66s. That’s what my hero played. Added a fretless P neck in 1976 because I thought it was cool. Realized that the Rotos were digging grooves in the fingerboard. Tried GHS Precision flats, Sound was okay . EMG active pickups, Badass bridge, brass nut. In 2011 bought an MIM Precision. There was my sound. Swapped necks and haven’t looked back. Sold the modified J for peanuts(good riddance) .Turns out I’m a P bass guy

I know it's a bit more but I have the Blackstar Unity 30 as I wanted it to be closer to my U700 but at home volume. That's a great practice amp but I wouldn't want to lessen the features. I don't remember Debut, unlike some of you.

MIght be worth noting that the AI music generators I looked at had a paid-for subscription where you could buy the IP for the song. ie with the free version the AI owned the copywrite so you couldn't really use it, but pay the £15/month you could then use it for whatever you wanted to. So I don't think "who owns the copywrite" is a particular problem.

Emergency amp needed: Advice on options please.

Having to send a video to show a damaged item is out of order IMO, as is sending the amp out packed like that in the first place. Tell them they can make their own video when they receive the amp back. Poor service so far from G4M here. -

Flutes - an instrument that is never needed in bands that include drums, bass and guitars. Orchestras, marching bands OK maybe - but not rock music! Bloody things are seldom in tune anyway. -
Pickup mods to a bitsa Jaguar. Advice please.

I've a set of these (passives) in a P/J and the tonal range is pretty good, although I also use a @KiOgon VT+VT circuit which no doubt helps. The Dimarzio configuration also allows for series/parallel (which I don't use) which could add to the range further. @KiOgon would no doubt be able to accommodate that for you https://www.thomann.co.uk/dimarzio_dp126_creme.htm?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=1581403900&gbraid=0AAAAADuDMCVsgt3nuIAmWBp8w-ZIRu_lG&gclid=CjwKCAjwtrXFBhBiEiwAEKen13q8gI4Wbnp-qssTHm2S5XJAOeQ4RSDaRgl1NZCcBpIFOv_uLYc_mhoCCAIQAvD_BwE Re routing the body for humbuckers, you might just find that the thing that has kept this bass as a preferred gigging instrument gets lost in the mods -

Same issues came up when sampling became commonplace, and the courts had to rule on where the law drew the line. However, in the case of sampling there was an existing copyright owner to make a claim and a record company to pursue it, with an AI system, there is no copyright license as the LLM isn't a legal entity (they may well become legal entities in the future), so if I use one to create a song that goes on the make a pile of cash, who is going to claim the copyright infringement? In the case BigRedX supposes, an AI based song with original (human) elements, it's almost entirely the same as the sampling cases, except there is no legal entity to claim the copyright or IP on the "original" work. Who is going to sue you? There is also an argument to say that the LLM's base their output on other peoples work in any case and cannot create "original" work. You'd be well advised to check the small print on the end user agreement for any LLM you use for creative purpose, as I suspect there will be copyright and IP claims in there somewhere.
