  4. Love this Bass. Good luck with the sale
  5. Would also trade for a very good condition/unused set of TI flats (as the existing set on my Ric are years old and a bit tatty at the silks due to removing and refitting many times)
  6. As a practice amp you need to accept the limited output volume. I think it's likely your ugly tones are the results of Overdriving the preamp. Overdriving the speaker. Both. Try dialing everything back a bit.
  7. Undertone's "Teenage Kicks" - a school friend lent me his bass and a couple of days later I'd learned Teenage Kicks and I was in the band. It's still the first bass line I play on any new instrument I buy!
  8. If you have an EBS UniChrous Studio Edition, could you let me know if the effect is disengaged when you first power it up? Mine powers up with the effect engaged. I know it's easy enough to disengage it, but it drives me mad! Cheers Chris
  9. Found a pic of it on a board. 😊
  10. I'm Every Woman - Chaka Khan
  11. Mani - I Wanna Be Adored The Stone Roses first album was my personal green light to go get a bass and get stuck in.
  12. Today
  13. They couldn't make their mind up. Dimensions – HxWxD. 26.125″ x 14.25″ x 14″. if you're going to use imperial then use imperial please : 26 1/8" x 14 2/8" x 14 Not a hill I'm prepared to die on (unlike the millennium starting on Jan 1st 2001, though I eventually gave up on that too) On topic: The cabs look good though.
  14. Late to the party here but, yes, I have a Mod Shop bass and my experience was entirely positive. I went for a Jazz with a Slim "C" neck with a rosewood 'board. Nothing terribly unusual otherwise but I felt it was worth it just to get the slim neck. Absolutely love the bass so no regrets whatsoever here. What spec are you considering?

  16. Nice bass I bought the Jetglo version they had in stock at Promenade last week and really love the neck. I think the new bridge and single trussrod make excellent upgrades to the 4003 line. They are very consistent - I’ve owned and played a lot of Rics and they have had some quirks however these recent models are excellent basses. GLWTS.
  17. Many thanks for going "old school". I still love reading magazines rather than online threads. For me this takes me back to when our only way of finding out about basses and gear was to read reviews in mags. I used to collect them, keep them and use for reference when i fancied another bass. I had a few subscriptions to motorcycle mags but they went all online. I've never read any since. Its just not the same as having a mag in your hand. Such a great idea and wish you all the very best with it. Dave
  18. Thank you - we will do our very best for the industry and bass players in the UK and wherever else they may want to read from!

  21. Thanks guys - I will get this checked by the company that handle the subs in the morning. Bear with me!
  22. Yup agree gigged one for a few years and always flawless.
  23. “Particularly particular” 🤣 Looks like a cool, unique custom instrument. Shame you’re hundreds of miles away as I’d be interested to feel the custom neck. GLWTS
