  2. It's usually worked for me except on my stingray special, I think there's some extra jiggery pokery in there.
  3. I had the very same setup, awesome kit, so easy to use. The monitor outs were really useful. Tempted......
  4. Did it come with it's own risk assessment? You'll be having someone's eye out with that, if you're not careful.......
  5. @Allen they are standard 5 string soapbars, even on the 4 string
  6. I'm currently running one of two pedalboards (at the moment doing the smaller one as it's easier to lug around). I use the Stomp on either board not two stomps and all ready have some pedals I'm looking to move on. (Bottom row including the B7K etc I think the Proton I have is a V2) My dilemma is do I sell the bigger board as well as it doesn't get much use and perhaps put it towards something else? Or sell X amount of the pedals and make the smaller board a analogue board with a nice preamp for example?

  8. My best advice is never to run while carrying it: it looks at least 200% more dangerous than a pair of scissors...

RRP is now £129 grab a bargain £60 inc postage to uk mainland The MS-60B's intuitive design allows easy navigation in both live and studio settings and makes creating, saving, and rearranging effects a breeze. Its input jack accepts signal from both passive and active guitars, and dual line-level output jacks enable you to record the MS-60B's many sounds in stereo. You can use up to 4 effects simultaneously and arrange them in any order you like—even bring individual effects in and out of the chain as desired. There are 50 patch memories where you can store your custom edited and chained multi-effects, with the first 30 pre-loaded with useful factory settings. An Auto Save function ensures that whatever edits you make will automatically be saved, and you can create a list of up to 26 patches to cycle through as you step on the MS-60B footswitch—handy for live gigs or whenever you want your effects in a certain order. The onboard chromatic tuner supports both standard and drop bass tunings, and you can opt to either bypass all effects during tuning or to mute the outputs so that you can tune in silence. Last but not least, the MS-60B's Tap Tempo feature allows you to to set delay times and modulation effect frequencies in real time to the rhythm of the song you're playing. 1 Pedal, 58 Great Bass Effects Cut down the size of your pedalboard by adding an MS-60B. It offers 58 great-sounding ways to craft the perfect bass tone. For ease of use, these are organized into the following categories: Dynamics / Filter Shape and control your low end with these 19 different compressors, limiters, equalizers, filters, exciters, and frequency splitters, plus Zoom's Noise Reduction (ZNR) algorithm, designed to remove noise during pauses while still maintaining your instrument's natural tone. Other options here include a bass frequency-specific AutoWah and "talking" modulator, as well as emulations of the MXR DynaComp, Aphex Punch Factory, dbx 160A, BBE Sonic Maximizer, Q-Tron Envelope Filter, Moog MF-101, and Z. Vex Seek-Wah. Overdrive / Distortion The MS-60B's 11 boosters, overdrives, and direct inject / preamp models include simulations of the BOSS ODB-3, DS-1, and Metal Zone, as well as the Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff, SansAmp Bass Driver DI, MXR Bass D.I.+, Xotic Bass BB Preamp, and Avalon Design U5. Amp The 6 amp models provided here include emulations of classic tube amplifiers like the Ampeg SVT and Fender Bassman, as well as the contemporary sounds of the Hartke HA3500, acoustic 360, Aguilar DB750, and Italian Markbass Little Mark III, each with its own distinct cabinet modeling that can be used to further alter the tonal quality. What's more, you can pair any amp model to any cabinet model for unusual, and often striking effects. Modulation / Special effects You'll find 14 different modulation and special effects here, all specially crafted for bass. These include phasing, flanging, chorusing, tremolo, detuning, and pitch shifting, as well as a sub-octave generator and an intelligent bass synthesizer that plays along in key—even a DeFret effect that changes the tone of a fretted bass into that of a fretless. Delay / Reverb The MS-60B's cutting-edge DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as the 8 rich, dense reverbs, and realistic spatial simulations found here. These allow you to place your bass in natural-sounding spaces such as rooms and halls or to add delays of up to 4 seconds. Also included is slap-back echo and a reverb plate emulation, as well as reverse, modulated, and self-oscillating delays.
  11. Ah, I remember it being reported as the Ironbird in Kerrang or Metal Hammer at the time. He used the Ironbird for the full set at the show I was at.
  12. Are the MFD humbuckers 4 wire (i.e can they be coil tapped?)
  13. I've used the Markbass official option before ... however, in desperation the other day ...( couldn't find it ) I realised I'd been doing it all wrong as I already bring the perfect item to use to every gig. A reel type extension lead, one of these ... with a couple of plugs slotted into the top for extra width, 4 in our case as it was running my head 2 pedal boards and our floor wedge, perfectly stable and kept it away from my clumsy feet .. i hook the front two feet of my markbass head over the front lipof the cab to avoid and slipping and it seems as sturdy as any "legged system". Just make sure the turny bits poking out the front.
  14. Hiya. I'm assuming this is no longer on hold three months later and with a price drop, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Pete

  17. It never does sound like singing. ...
  18. Love everything about it. But with car insurance renewal coming up, it's a bit out of my budget!
  19. I’d be happy too as well , but they haven’t really got much of a melody , so it wont really sound like singing …. waits for Douglas to say that it never does sound like singing
  20. I had a reply from Tech21: ” Do you know which specific unit your customer is referring to? It looks like it might be a Bass Driver Programmable or Deluxe. If you can provide the serial number that would be helpful. Something is up. The one spring appears too short and possibly the TACT switch separated from the PCB. It's easy enough to test the TACT switch by depressing it with your fingernail. If it functions, you can try to stretch the spring a bit so it comes in contact and or reattach the switch to the PCB. If you can't make the spring work let us know and I will have the office send you one.” I
  21. Are there pickups a standard enough format to be easily swapped out ?
  22. It was a white Stealth that had ants airbrushed on it that was stolen, affectionately known as " ant war", last I knew Glen still wanted it back, it has never surfaced
  23. As the video says, there may be things like reverse polarity protection diodes that cause a difference between the voltage you measure from a stereo plug and the actual open-circuit voltage of the battery. The lower the current that your preamp needs to operate, the greater the voltage error might be. Also by the time your battery gets below 7 volts or so it is essentially dead so even a very small current may cause its voltage to drop significantly. At the end of the day though it doesn’t really matter whether what you measure is exactly the actual battery voltage, only that you figure out what voltage measured at the jack corresponds to ‘dead battery’ versus ‘not dead yet battery’, which you have to do by trial and error because it will depend on your preamp circuit anyway, then compare your measurement with that threshold.

  25. Another new venue for Nine Lives, and I'm sure that the vast majority of people here will have no clue where I'm on about, but we'll be playing at Maud Football Social Club on Saturday. No, I'm not making these place names up, dammit!
