  2. Trying hex wrenches (good quality ones), 5mm fits in the socket but is loose. 5.5mm and 7/32" don't fit. Could it be 13/64"? I can't reach a Vernier caliper into it, or get a decent imprint of it with Blu-Tac The hex socket looks in good shape, not rounded.
  3. Good luck with the study but as with many, I'm pretty wary of clicking links. It might be a good idea to provide some details of the institution at which you're studying (including department), your supervisor, and a link to your research ethics statement/data control protocols.
  4. These were fitted to a new bas I bought and have literally been played for an hour or two before before being swapped to Evah lights. These are medium tension and sound absolutely stunning under the bow. £150 (Price includes a postage) (Will come in the Weich packaging but these are medium tension!)
  5. Played The Prince Albert in Brighton yesterday afternoon. We were asked to open with just a few weeks’ notice after the headliner pulled out, and the other two acts moved up the bill. I was already running on fumes after seeing The Stranglers (with the fantastic Skids supporting) in Watford the night before, so leaving the house at 10:30am was a bit of a struggle. I ended up using another band’s bass rig—an Ashdown head on a tiny 4x8 cab—as a stage monitor, while DI’ing my Tech21 DP3X. Bass was the Nate Mendel signature P. It sounded fantastic. The set went really well, and the crowd seemed to genuinely enjoy it. Numbers were thinner than expected (likely due to the original headliner dropping out), but the energy and enthusiasm from those who did show up more than made up for it. After our set, we headed to the back room for a quick drink and a sandwich. As we emerged, the drummer from one of the other two bands hands us a roll of cash—turns out he had kindly manned our merch table and completely sold out of our albums, EPs, and even a few shirts! We stuck around to watch the other bands before heading home. Long day, but a great one.
  6. I'll never be able to eat another growler....er...I mean....pork pie...for as long as I live without thinking about that...
  7. I have no real detail or further information but just saw a 'we're back' banner on the Hiscox site. The company now appears to be operating/trading our of Poland, at least that's where enquiries are directed. Proudly Hand-Made in England could become Proudly Hand-Made in Poland. According to the banner, shipping is scheduled to re-start in late September: https://hiscoxcases.com
  8. Surplus to requirements- useful EQ, good compression, big drive and mute switch. What is handy is the tuner out too. Can switch off LED blue lights on top knobs. Threshold LED not working built like a tank - heavy enough to be stand alone. Velcro if for board. postage £5 UK
  9. I have them both comfortably, both mounted with Cioks Grips on a Jr Max, but they also fit on my Classic 1 as long as you are careful with the placement (need to allow for the power lead, which needs a bit more room). I wouldn't want to use them both together underneath anything 22", as it'll get a bit cramped when you have cables connected to both sides of both units. I previously used GigRig, which I also liked, but I have a couple of cable failures and as I swap my board about a lot, I found I kept needing to buy more cables as I always wanted them at the perfect length. Cioks performance was just as good, but way less hassle. I also have a small PT Nano that I use with my Moog synth and that is powered by a Cioks SOL, which is just as good. I can't imagine ever needing another power supply.
  10. We could have a BC number, similar to mathematicians' Erdős number or the Kevin Bacon number for actors. If you have bought a bass off Basschat, or sold one, then you have a BC number of 1. If you bought/sold a bass off/to someone with a BC number of 1, then you have a BC number of 2, and so on. It would be interesting to know Kevin Bacon's BC number, and if anyone actors on BC have a Bacon number. Anyone with a low Erdős number- I salute you!
  11. Rounds only on Precision, both on Stingray.
  12. Maybe not insane but definitely a bit nutty even in a big place like Canada. Of course you have to be somewhat crazy to play DB and owning two of them and an EUB might be verging on insanity, but it is soooo much fun when things are going right. Certainly agree with your last sentence, it just makes you want to play and play and play....😊
  13. Hmmmm…..these intrigue me…..will check the piggy bank
  14. Rounds only for me
  15. Sometimes you just have to follow your heart. Ken Baldock's bass part for the theme tune to Mr. Benn. The band was led by Duncan Lamont and featured Kenny Wheeler on trumpet. And, get this. The musicians were credited at the end of each episode! https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/mr-benn-theme-duncan-lamont/
  16. These tuners came from a JMJ Roadworn Mustang but I assume they will fit any Fender with a similar post size and screw pattern. They are full size tuners with a wider post unlike the Gotoh version that was made to fit the MIJ Mustang basses. I’m sorry I don’t know the model number. They have been lightly aged so wouldn’t look out of place on a vintage Fender needing a better quality tuner. They come with mounting screws and ferrules. Pickup preferred but I can post for free UK only. Thanks
  17. Both in very good condition and work as they should. Very loud, even the BH250 is easily loud enough to gig with paired with one of my BF Compact 15’s. The 250 has been my spare and has seen very little use from new. The 800 has also seen little use in my ownership. A great pair of gigging amps with built in tuners and effects (TonePrint) that won’t break the bank. The 800 has the Helicon switch 3 too. They are in the rehearsal room and I can’t get pictures until Thursday but they are pretty much stock. Any questions please ask.
  18. Nice! A fantastic bass for a great price!
  19. Cioks is worth the money imo. I used a Caline brick previously, and it was only a little noiser, but not as flexible. I started messing with my 'new' setup, even before the Cioks 8 comes. The Wah came off because I couldn't figure out how to fit it in, as well as the ehx Tri Parallel.
  20. I use rounds. That's just me though.
  21. Today
  22. I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.
  23. Selling this as I hardly use it, and have stepped away from weddings, so don't need to recreate those sounds anymore. Only gigged a few times, so in near new condition. Comes with original box, power supply, USB cable and user guide. Would consider partial trade for a Way Huge Pork Loin.
