New Fender Laura Lee (Khruangbin) signature Jazz
JJMotown replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in Bass Guitars
I like the irony here, as she plays a SX copy of a Fender. Though no Chrome's or dimarzio pups, hipshot tuners, so other than the colour isn't an artist bass at all. -

Mods - please let me know if this breaks any ruling , thank you. Here we go again... this is a great bass, but the length of it exacerbates my nerve pain, and no matter how incredible the tone is I need something a bit smaller that sits in a different position, like a Music Man. These are Jazz Bass size, with one extra fret, so a touch longer. I think that the magic of this bass is in the pickup, and not the pre amp as some folk have written online. I'm lucky enough to have bought a used pickup, which is pretty amazing as these basses are rare, so I'll be putting it into what ever bass I replace this one with - it has a huge output and sculpted tone. A maximum of 550 of these were made, with 250-275 in silver and the same amount in pink. This is another reason I've been reluctant to let it go; and also why I'm not all desperate to trade it - this advert is just out of curiosity to see if there's anything out there. Made in USA for about 2-3 years, this one from 2019. Weighs approx 9.33lbs / 4.23kg It's in a 9.5/10 condition, with just a few tiny marks on the back. Quatersawn neck, alder body, compound radius fingerboard, Tim Shaw designed pickup, Aguilar OBP-1, BA style bridge.... It's a beast. Comes with the original case and all candy. Trade only - for something with a MM pup in the sweet spot - and as I'll be modding it I'm open to options. Fender introduce Limited Edition Laura Lee Jazz Bass. I don't know if anyone clocked the 'Empire Music' video that came out before this new bass appeared on the Fender Websites, but it's nice to see Fender supporting another female artist. If the Mexican Blu DeTiger signature was anything to go by, this will probably be very good. Basically a Mexican made bass with vintage tall tuners, Dimarzio Ultra Jazz Pickups, concentric volume/tone controls and dual 'talent inhibitors' (pickup covers!)

Check this one out , bit of a bass feature in the Paul Jackson mould Funnily enough I did a gig with Tom the band leader last night doing a jazz thing , great player and really nice guy

I bought this for my valve preamp which requires 12V and 500mA. Unfortunately I didn't twig that my 500mA T-Rex power supply wouldn't power the preamp as the mA through the GigRig steps down proportionally to 375mA (9/12× 500). In short this device is great for 12V pedals that require 375mA or less ... but not for my preamp! These retail around £70 so how about £40 posted? If you've got half an hour, this is a long & detailed interview with Townshend, talking quite candidly (and humorously) about his career, his odd relationship with The Who, his solo output & much more. https://www.loudersound.com/bands-artists/interviews/pete-townshend-interview-2025 -

HI What is the name of the bridge you put on your bass ? Any link ? I have some problem to tune mine correctly with the original wood bridge. May be change it for something else. Thank's for your answer
