StingRayBoy42 started following Hiscox Cases calling it a day
-
What rubbish news, Hiscox are the only cases I use. On the plus side, I've got five so that's my pension sorted.
-
Carvin SB, Kiesel JB, Peavey Cirrus, Lightwave VL in that price range. I had a Kubicki Key Factor but they're silly money now. All lively preamps with a strong B, but the Cirrus doesn't have a passive option (would need a mod) and even the 4 strings tend to be 35" scale.
-
Lowthers weren't remotely SOTA hifi 50ya let alone what you can do with horns these days.
-
Bassybert started following Pedal clear out 2- DG, TC, MB

Marvin started following Went old school last night (peavey/hartke content) and LFSys cabs - New Blueline range!

I really do like the look and spec to these. I've been browsing the LFSys site today, impressive

The key update to Source Audio’s Sound Check functionality has now gone live. It’s now possible to create and hear presets in real time for any Source Audio pedal using just the free Neuro 3 mobile or desktop app - no pedals or instruments required. This means you can check out in depth how this pedal will function and sound as an aid to determining whether it’d be something you’d use. https://www.sourceaudio.net/soundcheck.html

I don't think we need to bring religion into this... -
I use TeamUp.

Bluewine started following Band schedules and keeping track

Only use guys that have nothing but your band going on in life and can make every gig like my situation. Lol Daryl
-
I use my 1001rb all the time. But it's just for the stage. What goes out to the house is completely different from what I hear on stage. Daryl

Ah, ok. So the port extends 5.5cm to the inside edge of the baffle. So like this in cross-section, if that helps?:
-
The teardrop case I bought for my Gibson Ripper is topnotch and well worth the money, thats such a sad thing to read 😪

Crikey - I was chatting with the bloke on the stand at the recent Bristol Guitar Show and said I didn't understand why they were there, as they're the industry standard and everybody knows Hiscox. He also let me stand on a case!

Terry M. started following 5 String with the most Sizzle on the top end
-
While still retaining good low end? If you can find a Sadowsky in your budget give it a spin. I have a Sad preamp in my 5 string Fender Jazz and the sizzle and low end live happily side by side to my ears.

Morning all Up for sale is a set of Squier '77 VMJ pickups. Working perfectly and sound great; I used the bass I got them in for a different build project, so no longer need these. They even come with spring loaded foam, a nice touch. Easy to use for a bitsa build. I'm selling for £27 plus postage. Pete

The Lowthers came up as what seem to be 'state of the art' for hifi horns when I tried to find my original source, which seems to have been lost in history :-( Absolutely, they exemplify the original meaning of PA - clear speech under difficult outdoor conditions. Apparently the chap who used them (up until his untimely death) found they carried much better and dealt with light winds a lot better than modern 'boxes'.

Thanks, looks interesting, but for some reason the page won't load
